      The shape of this fuel strainer is better engineered IMO. The fuel has more room to collect in the inlet vs. some strainers that sit too low inside the tank.

      Works does not look like old one but fits just fine just don't pit finger through it because they can be fragile

      I got this to go in the fuel tank of my pick up before I head out on a trip. This way if I have a problem while I am gone I can replace the fuel pump and strainer on the side of the road if need be.

      Proper size and fit, not a problem installing. Just for reference here is the automobiles this fuel pump strainer will fit :FORD CROWN VICTORIA 94-93 V8-4.6L, INFINITI G35 04-03 V6-3.5L, INFINITI I35 04-02 V6-3.5L, MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS 94-93 V8-4.6L, NISSAN MAXIMA 03-02 V6-3.5L, NISSAN SENTRA 01-00 L4-1.8L. I would definitely recommend Airtex for a quality pump "sock".

      This is the correct filter strainer for the 2" dia fuel pump a bit longer than the orginal but snaps and locks onto the pump feed perfectly!

      This part fit my Airtex E8778 in-tank filter perfectly; well enough that it does not pop off when I remove the sender from the tank.

      Bought this before I realized I needed a whole new pump. New pump came with new filter. Go figure.I think I ended up using this one, but not sure.

      It's a screen on a plastic frame, there really isn't much to it. The fitment was all i was concerned with, and to my surprise it fit perfectly onto the OE Bosch fuel pump.

      Well made product, not the same exact size as original strainer. But fits nicely on my 2002 Mazda protege5! Description claims this is the filter but that's incorrect, this is a strainer that is attached to the filter unit (the actual filter unit also acts as the fuel pump housing). For those who don't know, the fuel filter is accessed underneath the passenger seat on the driver side. You'll also need a quick release tool to detach high pressure fuel lines.
