- Glow plug harness failure is quite common for high mileage 7.3L and 6.0L Powerstroke models. Although many owners will find this harness damaged while performing other engine maintenance, sometimes a hard cold start is an early indicator that the harness has begun to fail. Years of supporting high amperage glow plug draw combined with high engine bay temperatures will melt the plastic connectors, eventually resulting in shorts within the circuit. - If your 6.0L is beginning to have issues starting and/or occasionally stalling out, the factory stand pipes or dummy plugs might be to blame. When these components begin to leak fluid, low oil pressure at the rail can cause a variety of engine issues. Using our extensive experience with the Ford Powerstroke, our team identified the need for a more durable and economical replacement for the factory stand pipes and dummy plugs. The Mishimoto 6.0L Powerstroke Stand Pipe and Dummy Plug kit includes everything needed to replenish lost pressure from the Stand Pipe system. Our kit includes two precision-machined stand pipes with an updated design featuring integrated check valves and durable Teflon seals. We also include the two necessary dummy plugs, one for each cylinder bank. The fuel rail plug must be removed to release pressure during stand pipe installation and is often damaged during the process, so our kit includes a new plug and seal. Finally, we also include a new CVC O-ring, another component recommended for replacement during this process. As with all our products, this kit includes or signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
