This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4 in. oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4 in. oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. This patented step-within-a-step technology -- combined with a no-drill bracket installation, control module operation and powder-coated aluminum construction -- truly makes these retractable running boards an asset for the offroad truck or Jeep, particularly as lifted truck steps. ActionTrac motorized running boards have one 4 in. wide step on top of the main housing and one 3 in. wide that automatically deploys as needed. When the door opens, the control module deploys the power step 8 in. below the main step, 15 in. below the doorsill, depending on the model. This two-step design offers enhanced safety and easier vehicle entry and exit, especially on large, lifted vehicles. Its also very helpful for families with young children and for elderly passengers. The boards contour to the vehicle and offer extra protection for the rocker panels from small road debris. - ARIES 3 in. side bars are more than a fancy decal for your truck, Jeep or SUV. They are a confident first step on each new adventure. These 3 in. nerf bars are constructed from strong carbon steel for superior rigidity, and they feature a sleek semi-gloss black powder coat finish. For an added edge, each nerf bar also goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching. ARIES 3 in. round side bars are also available in polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder-coated steel. All ARIES 3 in. nerf bars come with heavy-duty steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They offer easy installation and the strength necessary to provide sound footing. These particular custom nerf bars fit specific years of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3 in. round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of tough polypropylene. These step pads feature a textured pattern for enhanced safety, and they cover a wide portion of the tubes for a more comfortable step.
