- The Pro Ratchet shifter is one of our most popular and easiest to operate race shifters. Features include positive ratcheting design that self-centers the handle after each shift giving you maximum clearance behind the shifter, and will not allow you to miss a shift by over-shifting a gear. The reverse lockout feature only requires one hand to operate and meets both NHRA and IHRA safety regulations. Other features include a neutral safety switch, backup light switch, along with a brushed aluminum cover and a classic white shift knob with the B&M logo. Also includes a 5-foot long Super-duty shift cable, gear indicator, cable brackets, transmission levers, all necessary hardware and detailed instructions for an easy at home installation. Comes with all necessary parts for use with three and four-speed automatic transmissions such as 1966 and later Chrysler Torqueflite A727, A904, A500, A518 transmissions, Ford C4, C6 transmissions, GM TH200, TH250, TH350, TH400, 2004R, 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E - 4L85E without PRNDL switch. Notes: For Ford AOD transmissions you will need installation kit #40496, AODE and 4R70W require installation kit #40504, E40D and 4R100 require installation kit #40505 and GM 4L60E - 4L85E transmissions with PRNDL switch require cable bracket #70499. - Sometimes the best design is the simplest one, and the Z-Gate shifter is a great example of just that. With the fewest moving parts of any automatic shifter in the B&M line, the Z-Gate shifter and its patented internal Z shaped gate system eliminates the possibility of over-shifting and missing gears. Fewer moving parts means less possibility of failure and with many of the same great features of the higher priced shifters, you just cant go wrong! - The B&M Shift Improver kits feature two options to recalibrating your 1965-1987 GM TH400, TH375 and TH475 automatic transmissions. First is the HEAVY DUTY set-up, giving you firm positive shifts without loss of driver comfort for improved performance in all street vehicles. This is a great option for performance street driving or towing. The second is our STREET/STRIP set-up. Be warned, this will deliver firm positive shifts you will feel, along with easily chirping the tires when shifting somewhat aggressively. This setting is recommend for high performance street/strip use, or for competitive events when you want the hardest, quickest shifts possible from a shift improver kit.

- The B&M vacuum modulator is fully adjustable and allows you to fine-tune your shift points and shift feel. This is done by turning the adjustment screw inside of the vacuum line connection for more or less diaphragm preload, thus raising or lowering part throttle shift points and line pressures.
