Our engineers also relocated the drain plug to allow a more complete drain by making the bottom of the plug level with the bottom of the pan. To help protect the engine from harmful metal debris in the oil that results from internal component wear, this pan also features a convenient magnetic drain plug. This all-metal plug is designed for rock-solid fit into threads precision-machined directly into the pan, eliminating the potential for the leaks that occur when the overmolded plastic-over-brass factory bung loosens and fails.
