Made specifically for todays crossover and SUV, ARIES AeroTread running boards are marked for their aerodynamic look and lightweight build. They are constructed from an extruded aluminum base, making them strong and impervious to the elements. Each set of running boards features sleek, curved edges with tapered ends to seamlessly blend with the body of your vehicle. To give you the exact, customized look you want, AeroTread running boards come with one of two front-trim finish options: polished stainless steel or black carbide powder-coated stainless steel. They are also equipped with a 5 in. wide, hard plastic step pad that runs the entire length of the board, providing a non-skid surface no matter where you place your foot. AeroTread running boards install using a track mounting system to attach vehicle-specific brackets, and pre-existing holes in the vehicles frame are used to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and ensure stable footing (NOTE: Mounting brackets are sold separately, see the application information to determine which brackets and boards fit your vehicle). - ARIES ActionTrac powered running boards are unique from other power side steps because they are actually two steps in one. This patented step-within-a-step design -- combined with a no-drill bracket installation, control module operation and powder-coated aluminum construction -- truly makes these retractable running boards an asset for the offroad truck or Jeep Wrangler, particularly as lifted truck steps. ActionTrac powered running boards have one 4 in. wide step on top of the main housing and one 3 in. wide that automatically deploys as needed. When the door opens, the control module deploys the power step 8 in. below the main step, 15 in. below the doorsill, depending on the model. This two-step design offers enhanced safety and easier vehicle entry and exit, especially on large, lifted vehicles. Its also very helpful for families with young children and for elderly passengers. The design also allows for a contoured look on the vehicle and offers extra protection for the rocker panels from small stones and other debris. For additional safety, the module is able to detect any obstructions during operation to avoid p in. hazards and damage to the power steps. LED lights are also built into the housing to illuminate the steps when deployed. ARIES ActionTrac powered running boards are made for vehicle-specific installation for a custom fit. They use pre-existing factory holes for the brackets to eliminate drilling. They also do not require any splicing into factory wiring. Each set of retractable running boards is constructed from powder-coated 6061-T6 aluminum to be strong, lightweight and non-corrosive. The quiet, maintenance-free rotary motor is shielded within the main housing, along with the power step pivot points and all electrical components, protecting them from the harsh elements and promoting long life. NOTE: Mounting brackets for these running boards are not included and must be purchased separately or as part of a kit.
