- Volvo calls this a " MAP Sensor Linear " or " Pressure Sensor Linear ". This is the A/C High Pressure Sensor that functions off the "high pressure" side of the A/C system located next to the A/C Accumulator. It's function is to monitor the auxiliary cooling fan on and off or if the pressure in the system goes too high it shuts it down.
