The pump works great, does exactly what it should, and buying it through AutoPartsWAY saved me almost 100 bucks over my local parts store. Installation on a dodge dakota is a pretty big pain in the butt, but that's not the pumps fault. It works fantastic, and have no problems.

replaced the pump in my 2000 Silverado and this was a perfect fit. You do need to change the electrical plug to the new style which requires crimps but I solder my connections because of possible corrosion.

Got this in the mail today put it in my blazer works great came with everything you need.

Great price... as far as I can tell this part is the same as is sold elsewhere for much more than I paid. Fairly easy to install if you are at all handy with car repairs. I definitely not a professional, but with the help from some youtube videos I was able to install in a little more than half a day

My fuel level sensor stopped working over a year ago. I needed to replace the level sensor only but, found the price of the completefuel pump with fuel level sensor to hard to past up. I felt that since I had to remove the old pump to replace the sensor it only made sence to replace the fuel pump. I think since replacing the fuel pump assembly I gained better gas mileage.

This was one of the easiest fuel pumps to install. The pump came with the newest electrical connector. If you notice that the fuel line connector looks different than the one that connected to your fuel filter, just remove that plastic clip on the fuel pump. The fuel line has the clip built into the line itself.The fuel pump is quiet and the pressures are consistent on idle and load.Would def buy again.

Worked great on my 2001 Silverado. One important thing to note that I did not see mentioned anywhere, this pump does not have the smog stuff on it. On smog equipped vehicles there is a tank pressure sensor on the top of the pump. This pump did have a premolded knockout on the top of the pump which I was able to knockout and then remove the sensor from my old pump and transfer it over. Otherwise, this eliminated a starting problem I was having and a fuel level sender issue.

This pump resolved my problems and was a direct replacement to the oem pump. I would have given it 5 stars but on the fuel return line it was missing the plastic retaining clip so I had to stop at the local auto parts store and pick one up for a whopping 65 cents. Otherwise its quiet and works well as of so far, I've only put about 300-400 miles on the pump so far.

This fuel pump looked just like the original mopar one that i was replacing.It seems to be of good quality and all connections fit perfectly. Hopefully it will last for a while.The box was labeled as "Master" brand, so not sure if Master is the same as "Airtex".

..my fuel gauge is still not reading correctly. Don't know why. Thought this would fix that too.Other than that, no problems or issues at all.

The pump came pretty quick. Install was pretty straight forward. It seems to be performing well after two weeks of driving. You have to crimp the provided connectors on your existing wiring to use the connector on the pump. I saved 125 bucks on this pump compared to the local stores.

This was a good product. Fit exactly as listed and works really good. It was a good deal as well; a lot cheaper than a parts store.

Had the dreaded problem of fuel gauge not reading properly. Finally got sick of tracking fuel by mileage traveled and bought this pump. Once everything back installed pump worked perfect. Fit like original in tank and electrical and fuel line connections matched perfectly. Cant say anything bad about pump, except that I do not know about longevity yet. Can say that the installation is a pain in the #@$. Not so much the pump itself but dropping and reinstalling the tank. Can easily understand now why service centers want $800.00 to $1000.00 to do this job. Plan on buying a pack of the fuel line clips also, as they are brittle and break easy as you remove them. I think a pack was about five bucks at Advance Auto.

Item arrived on time in perfect condition, in size and protection appropriate packaging. I performed the R&R myself and the new unit went into the fuel tank and connected to the vehicle electrical and hoses without any issues whatsoever. Also, the installation directions included with the unit were well written and very helpful. Unfortunately, the new fuel pump did not solve the driveability issue I continue to have with my vehicle, but I knew I was taking a chance that it would do so. And since my vehicle is 16+ years old with over 100K miles on it, I don't see the new pump as a wasted effort as I intend to keep the vehicle indefinitely.

I installed this part in a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. It was an ease to install, fit perfectly, and works wonderfully. Should I ever need a replacement pump on one of my other vehicles, I'll gladly, and without hesitation decide on an Airtex pump.

Put it in my 1993 Dodge Dakota 3.9L and works perfectly. Compared to what auto parts store around my area were charging this was a steal so I gave it a shot. Been in my truck for about a month now with no problems so far. As for the gas gauge issue with other reviews. I don't have that problem. My gas gauge didn't work before but now it does.

Bought to replace bad oem pump. Easy install everything fit and lined up great. Plugs matched up with factory connections. This was for a 2000 dodge stratus. Plan on replacing the fuel filter while the gas tank is down because it is crammed up there and unless you are gumby you won't be able to reach it with the gas tank installed. The pump primed up and is working just fine. The only reason for not giving a full 5 stars is I have only had the pump installed for a few months so long term is unknown.

I was replacing the original fuel pump in a 2001 silverado and there are noticeable... Very noticeable gains in both horsepower and fuel efficiency. Hooks up really simple And easily and only requires that you have a pair of wire cutters/crimpers nearby to connect the new pigtail for the pump.

Ordering the correct pump was easy. The pump arrived promptly, easy to follow instructions, online video was very helpful. The unit worked, I can't ask for anything more :) Thanks

Fit great in my 98 Dakota 4x4 with a 22 gallon tank. Put in last fall worked great all winter.

Chevy's from this era have issues, particularly the pumps. They are an in the tank style which inherently makes changing them out a real pain. That said, once you do all the work and remove the tank, installing this pump is a piece of cake.The pump is made of plastic just like the oem pump. It looks very similar. You must be exceptionally careful when handling the pump not to break off the tabs that all the fuel lines hook up to. As this one is very similar to the old pump, there just is a lot of long plastic without support hanging out there waiting to ruin your day. I didn't break any on the new pump putting the hoses back on, but I did break two of the tabs easily on the old one. Which was a good thing. It made me realized how fragile these things are... which made me much more careful about re-installing the hoses on the new one. For those buying this pump to do the work yourself, Airtex has a install video that is good. I laughed my butt off though at parts because...

I bought this in anticipation of dropping the gas tank on my 2007 Dodge Caravan,because of a gas leak somewhere around the tank.There are two things which caused me problems. There are quite a few different fittings on all the hoses that connect to the tank. Airtex has a video on a few ofthem, but I wish they had shown (more) different types of fittings. I also had a problem getting the lock ring of the fuel pump. So many online videos showed a few gentle taps. Well, mine took a lot of hard hits, I ended up using a 5 lb hammer (almost a sledge hammer) - and had to hit it quite hard, and a bunch of times, and it finally came off. These are not problems with the pump, just things I wish Airtex had on their site.Anyway, finally got everything back together, and after 2 tries, the engine started.I did not have any problems with the tank, and it is working great!

Did some research, Airtex is one of the market leaders in OEM and after market fuel pumps. This is the exact same product available at most locations. When you need a fuel pump, time is important. Got it shipped next day for a very reasonable cost. Includes a new wiring connector, which must be spliced into the wiring harness, documents claim the old connector tended to be trouble in the original design. Installed and running great.

I too liked the part and especially the price but no fuel gauge. I haven't had time to investigate anymore to see what else it could be but at least the truck runs!

This fuel pump was a great replacement pump for our old Dodge Neon. Perfect fit and works great. Comes with the fuel filter and new o-ring. Basically, pull the old one out and put this one in.

So far so good. Installed over the weekend and it was a pretty painless job. I have heard many people say only go with factory parts when it comes to fuel pumps, but I decided to gamble on this unit. This unit is made in the USA so I feel better about its quality compared to some chinese made pumps. Everything fit nicely, just dropped it in and it works as it is supposed to. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it doesn't match up with the factory GM wiring harness. It comes with its own wiring harness that you have to splice in...not much more work, but I felt it was an unnecessary effort. I will update this thread if any problems develop with the pump.

Although this part received has the perfectly identical part # that I required,the part is built slightly different. There is no place to hook up two wiresfor the fuel quantity guage--there is only one. Therefore, I am using the part because it was sorely needed, but I now have no fuel guage. Someone needs tolook into this.

Saved $100 from the local parts stores, even with my commercial discounts. Same brand they sell. Complete unit with fuel strainer. I'm a professional shop and wish my time allowed for mailing time, I'd use them more.
