This is the correct filter for an E46 BMW with the M54 engine having thefilter with the integrated pressure regulator. Do a search for this car and it will lead you to 2 filters with simply inlet and outlet nipples; NOT the correct filters. Best to get under your car and take a look to see which is the exact filter your car needs. That task isn't particularly easy. If you do it yourself you need to raise the car and support it on jackstands. Then remove the protective cover over the filter to determine just which one you have.Having said all that, and identifying the correct filter, this is a good price on the replacement filter with free shipping from AutoPartsWAY. I only found it for about $4 cheaper at one other internet site, but just decided to order this one piggybacking another order being placed with AutoPartsWAY. In fact, the brand, Keyser, is the same as the filter now to be replaced on my car.
