  • AEM Air Intakes are engineered to add horsepower and reduce restriction compared to OEM air intakes. All AEM Air Intakes come with a lifetime DRYFLOW Synthetic air filter with great filtration. AEM Air Intake Systems including our Cold Air Intake, Short Ram Air Intake, and Brute Force Air Intake Systems are guaranteed for the life of your car or truck. A cold air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver cool air inlet temperatures. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber to create more horsepower and torque. But that's only part of the power equation. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump), and this tuning allows us to deliver large power gains. We also monitor fuel trim correction factors and all OBDII sensors during product development to eliminate leaning the engine out and/or throwing a check engine light.

This filter has been a great replacement for the K&N oiled filter that I had on my Porsche 911 (996) as part of the upgraded K&N cold air intake system. The oil seemed to not play nicely with the mass air flow sensor even when I only lightly oiled the filter, but I've had zero problems after switching to this filter.

Super easy to install. This new design is much better than the older design. I Haven't seen the mpg increase like I expected but it's also winter time so perhaps in the spring it will be a little better.

Easy to install, no tools required, perfect fit, and a great price for a performance filter. I specially like that you do not have to use oil, much easier and less messy solution. I noticed a little better get up and go right off the bat. Haven't had it long enough to eval any mileage increase but better airflow should bring a few extra miles on a long haul. I would buy it again if I ever had to.

This is the filter I have been hoping would be built for a long time. I hate having to oil the filters so the dryflow is perfect. Dimensions were just right so it fit my project application perfectly. Great build quality as well

I have an 07 cobalt SS, with quite a few mods that I autocross and lightly drag race in addition to daily driving. I was previously using a spector filter for the sake of price point, but after seeing how my last one was starting to come apart I knew it was time for a change.During cruise control lock at 75mph on flat ground, my maf rate (scanned by aeroforce) went from an average 1.5-2.2lb/m to 3.7-4.2lb/m a mind blowing increase, the supercharger whines a lot louder, and the filter seems to be of a very durable construction. It's holding up well after a few months, no signs of needing a change. Also purchased the dry flow wrap with it because of the location of my intake piping. (bottom of front fender)

Bought this to replace the more expensive and 1 time use SPT filter for my Subaru WRX's SPT short ram intake. Fits good and seems to provide better air flow than the SPT filter. Seems to be a good replacement for the SPT.

I love how easy is it to replace and clean up no need to oil the filter just use compress air to blow the dirty out of it. Also get a bit more power and see a lil improve on MPG like 1~2mpg on the highway

I purchased this filter rather than the replacement one for the Spectre 9900. The Spectre HPR9881 filter requires oiling and cleaning while this filter only requires cleaning which is much easier to do. This filter is a great replacement.

I installed it on my 2013 1500 Ram & installation was simple, it only takes about 5 minutes or less. I have noticed a 1.5-2 mpg over the EPA estimates. I am getting 15.5-16 mpg around town in a 400 HP/410 lbs of torque vehicle that has 8000+ lbs of towing ability., not too bad, imo. I haven't taken it out on the interstate as of yet but I will update asap. This filter will pay for itself, great investment.

When i replaced this air filter I noticed a big increase in my fuel economy. It increased 4 MPG. Thought is was an anomaly but after several fill ups it is consistently 4 MPG or more. This is using real math and not any in dash computer. A nice surprise.

Clamped right on. Easy to clean, no mess, no hassle, no hours waiting for it to dry. Great product. Recommend it to anyone using oil air filters.

Great filter plus it's a dry element filter. I used to use the k and n oiled filters but then noticed my intake throttle bodie kept getting all gunked up and dirty. Also found out that k and n makes these filters for aem, so you basically get one great filter with two brand names backing it up.

I ordered this to replace the oiled filter on my Nismo CAI (actually we all know the truth now: it's a re-branded AEM!) for my 2004 G35 Coupe. The AEM site does indeed have a list of all their filters, but it's a HUGE list with some subtle differences and their support wasn't very responsive when I asked to confirm the right part number for this specific application. If you want to be sure like I did: It's a perfect fit!I was excited to move to the dry-flow since it's easier to clean, comes standard on the newer G37 intakes, was co-developed with K&N (should still flow well), and the oiled filters can cause problems with our MAFs if excess oil gets pulled up through the intake. It's a little tricky to install yourself (the main reason I wanted to be extra sure it would fit before ordering), but there are a lot of G35 forum posts showing how to do it by removing your driver side fender liner...allocate an hour to remove one wheel (the extra space is worth it), pull a few...

The product is a better version of the one i had on already. Fits right on and seems to allow more airflow. With same great Dry flow technology.

I bought this about four months ago as a replacement filter for the one that came with a Neuspeed P-Flo aftermarket intake system for my 2007 VW GTI. This filter, unlike the one I had on it prior, is a DryFlow filter and has no oil that is known to cause problems with cars that run a MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor). The old filter had to be cleaned and re-oiled but if you used too much oil, you risk ruining your MAF sensor. I bought this for peace of mind when cleaning it, but also it seemed to tone down the excessive "harshness" of the intake harmonics that could be heard in the cabin when you went wide open throttle. Instead, all you're left with is the sweet sound of rushing air through your intake. :)All in all, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy to service air filter that should last a very long time.

No oil required. Zero risk of clogging your sensors. Vibration keeps most of the dust off and filter mostly clean.

Ordered this to replace the one that came with my AEM cold air intake. I cleaned the old one at 50,000+ miles, then decided to just get a new one at 80,000+ miles. Car runs & sounds a lot better now. If you're not sure what size/model number you need, just go to the AEM site and enter your application. Easy to install with just a flat-head screwdriver.

Works as advertised but the picture shown isn't the actual product. It's red with the mesh wire on the outside. These are made by K&N filters. I don't recall if they're the first who made open air filters but they were the most popular. They look exactly like K&N but no oil is necessary. The benefit of not having the oil is you can't get your mass airflow sensor or throttle body contaminated.

I've had a Neuspeed P-Flo intake on my 2007 VW GTI for ~2 years. One of my biggest complaints with the included (oiled) K&N filter has been the harsh rake sound near the top of the torque curve in lower gears. Cleaning the filter has also been quite a tedious project... spray with cleaner, let soak in, knock off the bits and pieces, rinse, repeat, dry completely, and spray oil. Don't forget to cross your fingers that you didn't over-oil the filter and contaminate the MAF sensor!I came home to find the AEM DryFlow waiting for me. As soon as the engine bay fell to a reasonable temperature, I ripped out the now grey K&N oiled filter, and popped open the AEM box. What I found was not the dark grey dry filter in the picture, but a bright red dry filter, reminiscent of when I first received my Neuspeed P-Flo. Popped it onto the end of the pipe, with a very snug fit and we were ready. What a difference in sound. Gone is the harsh rake sound I grew to hate, and it even...

The AEM Dryflow filters are my choice of reusable filters. Many filters that require oil can easily be over-oiled leading to MAF sensor failure. Also, cleaning and oiling the oil-based filters is a complete pain. With the Dryflow, you can rinse the filter clean and reinstall as soon as it's dry. If the filter is real dirty you can clean it a little more aggressively. Also, the Dryflow filters do not use a metal mesh for the structure. This is very important for the longevity of the filter because it is common to drop the filter or have other objects in the engine bay contact the filter from time to time. With the Dryflow filter the shape will remain unchanged. This is especially good for some of the applications we use this filter on where the filter touches the hood when installed.

Bought this product to replace a K&N filter in a Stillen CAI. It is an inch shorter than the K&N, but was easier to get into the enclosure than an oem replacement. Very happy with the purchase. This is the filter I will use now.

I received the item (filter) and it was perfect. It was the wrong size however and that was completely my fault for not making sure. I returned the item and received a refund. It's kind of hard to know who is trustworthy over the internet and I highly recommend this dealer.

I purchased this to replace the K&N filter on the intake---after reading the oil analysis reporting that there is usually high Si in the oil.....recommend a dry filter. I will be using this and dry filters in my vehicle.
