Used this to replace a pulley in my 2006, 4.6 L Jeep Commander. This worked great for me. In my opinion it is better than the original plastic puller on my jeep. The bearing has smooth, no wobble action and the metal housing feels and looks like it will last 2 lifetimes. If it's time to replace your serpentine belt, it's also a good time to inspect and test your pulleys and if any needs replacement I recommend replacing yours with a Dayco pulley.

installing the new pully was a trick in the neon, but that is just dodge's design. it wasn't even difficult, just time consuming. with a little bit of help it took three hours. there are excellent instructions and videos online. the new pully works great. it seems my car performs even better than before. the price was right and appeared to be an exact match for the old. my best advice after buying the pully is to install new belts while you have the acces to them. (and a hint: when you have the three mountingbolts for the mount pulled, they do not all come out of the car for clearance. so you cannot easily remove the cover from the car as instructions would say. don't worry though, you don't need to. just spin the bottom towards the front of the car and use a torx bit on a ratchet to remove the tension pully bolt.)

The drawn steel pulley looks as good as the original part. Box says "Made in USA" and likely is but, as noted by another reviewer, the bearing is sourced from China. In my case from ZXY (Xiangyang Automobile Bearing Co., Ltd.) in mainland China. I never heard of them, but they seem legitimate. I'll have to trust that Dayco has done a thorough evaluation of them.Since I have experienced the grief of off-brand bearings, I would gladly pay an extra $10 for a U.S., German or Japanese brand like Timkin, NSK, FAF, SKF, NTN, Koyo or some other safe bet. Not that these more popular brands don't manufacture in China, it's just nice to know that are behind the design, support and quality. Dayco would do well to partner with a major brand bearing and tout that fact. All that said, it feels smooth and stable and is working so far.

Hard to get excited about a mechanical object, but if this pulley is the dimensions you need, buy it with confidence. Dayco has been a GM original supplier for many years, so if you drive a GM product, you already know Dayco pulleys and belts.

This is actually the OEM INA part in a Dayco box. There were NO Dayco markings anywhere at all on the pulley. It was labeled INA just like the original part, but for alot less than what the Mercedes-Benz dealer would charge!

The air-pump delete idler pulley went bad. I removed the pulley and it is labeled "Dayco 00163". That part number cannot be found anywhere on-line. Eventually I measured the old pulley, looked up the part on Dayco's website, and then found it on AutoPartsWAY. This is the correct replacement pulley for a Dayco 00163, and is even marked as such. I have no idea why the number stamped on the part does not match replacement part number of Dayco 89014, but nevertheless this is the correct part.

just changed my idler pulley and it seemed to get rid of the whine on the short ride i just took.i did not see anything wrong with the old one and after i took it out, it felt like it was spinning smoothly. so who knows. it did have a little groove on the black wheel part though, so maybe that was creating the whine.i used a Neiko Heavy-Duty 24-Inch 1/2-Inch Drive Chrome-Vanadium Steel Breaker Bar with 3/8" socket to release the tension, carefully unlooped the belt from around the idler pulley, removed the old pulley with a 15mm socket/wrench, installed the dayco along with the washer from the old pulley, released the tension with breaker bar again, looped it back around, made sure the belt was seated properly (had to reposition it in a groove of the ac pulley where it had slightly moved during installation), took all my tools out of the way and started it up.seemed to work great!

The original idler pulley was going out.. sounding like glass marbles being ground up. The part fit just fine. I was surprised to find out how easy it was to replace the darn thing. A bad idler pulley can affect a car's performance. I learned this the hard way....This was a good price compared to what the dealer wanted..even online dealers...

This is a great bargain alternative for BMW idler pulleys. Used on two of our vehicles with great results. On an E53 X5 3.0L with mechanical tensioners, I had to sand down about 0.5mm of the back side of the pulley. This took all of 45 seconds with some sandpaper on the garage floor. Only downside: the factory BMW dust cap didn't fit tightly. I made do with some removable adhesive. The cap is not a necessity, but helps prolong bearing life.Again, given the cost and quality, I'm more than willing to do some improvising.

Works perfectly as it should! The older pulley's bearings were shot, and installation of this was easy. Just make sure that you use a torque wrench on this as the bolt actually goes through this and the alternator and is housed in an engine mount

I used this pulley to replace a faulty idler pulley on my 1994 Ford Bronco and it works as intended. Got rid of the "little birdie that's lived under my hood for the last couple of months". Very straightforward installation. For my vehicle all I had to do was remove the tension on the tension pulley with a 15MM socket or wrench by turning counter clockwise, take the belt off, remove the idler pulley with a T50 torx bit turning counter clockwise, replace with new pulley, use factory bolt, align the belt on all pulleys verifying that everything is correct and fire er' up.

This idler pulley is an exact match for my 2000 Dodge Ram Cargo Van with the 5.9/360. It works great and the factory idler pulley bushing fits into it just fine. Saved a bunch over the stealership or local parts houses.

Once you've got the belt removed this thing is a proverbial piece of baklava to install, break out your wrench and you're done and enjoy your new solid pulley.

2000 Ford Taurus LX. Hello! Yes, this is the little devil that is making that "noise" and it IS the smooth idler pulley, NOT the tensioner pulley, which, by the way, is smooth also! Keep the washer and bolt retainer ring (if one) for reinstallation on the new bearing. Go to [...] to look up and confirm the part number before ordering. The tensioner, Dayco 89233 Automatic Belt Tensioner, comes with a pulley attached. I suggest replacing this pulley, the tensioner assembly, and the belt all at once. See my review of the tensioner for replacement procedure and tools needed.

I needed a new AC idler pully for my 1985 Mercedes 280SL European model and a new part from Mercedes would have cost me about $350. The Dayco Idler pully cost me about $20 including shipping and works fine, a savings of abour $330, can't beat that!

I bought this tensioner for my 5.2L that is out of a 1997 Dodge Dakota (it now lives in my 1998 Jeep Cherokee). The tensioner fit perfectly and does just what it should, So far it's been on for 3500 miles and is working perfect.

While this is not listed as a replacement for the BMW e46 mechanical tenstioner pulley, it fits fine. It's mfgr'd by INA the OEM mfgr of the original pulley. Fits both the a/c mechanical tensioner and the power steering/water pump/alternator mechanical tensioner. However, if the original ps/wp/alt mechanical tensioner has been upgraded to the hydraulic tensioner, this will not fit. There are other replacement pulley wheels available for the hydraulic tensioner.
