      This is a beefy piece of hardware. Nice gold anodized finish. I used clear silicone adhesive sealant to attach it to the window glass. I drilled out the window regulator rivets and ended up welding some 1/4-20 nuts on the back side so I could bolt the thing back on to the steel door panel. Some long u-nuts would work too but used what I had at the time. Tricky part was figuring out how to get the glass out of the door. But all worked out well. Hope this helps. Good luck with yours. Pat

      Better than the original. The original window holders or locks are plastic attached to the metal bar. This one is metal on metal. Worked perfectly, no troubles installing it.

      It takes a while to replace but it sure fixed the problem. You will probably want to change the rollers at the same time. My 1996 Tahoe takes the Dorman 74430 roller kit but only ONE of the rollers installs easily so buy 3 kits if you want to change all of the rollers. Oh by the way, a week after replacing the left side the right side broke so I ordered one for the right side (this part fits either side). You may want to check both sides before you buy the materials for just one!
