1982 Buick Regal Disc Brake Pad Set - Front 8 Cyl 4.4L Hawk

  • High Performance Street disc brake pads are legendary for increasing stopping power on street-legal vehicles. Increasing the performance of your vehicles braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performances HPS braking compound. The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20 to 40 percent more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you will have better pedal feel and more consistent performance in a durable brake pad that generates less brake dust.
  • They are sold as a set and only quantity 1 is required for both wheels

The break pads are almost dust free. The wheel look clean for a week! With the original BMW pads, the wheels are dirty after two days.My only complaint is that I have the feeling that I need to put harder on the paddle to break than with the original BMW pads.

I put Hawk HPS pads on all of my vehicals. They wick heat away from the rotor. If you drive spirtedly & use your brakes accordingly, these pads are worth the investment. I was changing my warped rotors every 3 or 4 months until I started using HPS pads. I have tried all kinds of brake pad brands and compounds. From organic, to metallic, and even ceramics. None of them have served me as well as the HPS.

I have experience with various Hawk pads from my old days of driving on the track (with other cars). The HPS's are a performance street pad though, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My usage is daily driving only (no more track time), occasionally spirited. I replaced all for corners at the same time on a 335i w/Sport package.- There is no noise to these pads. I made sure to spray a good amount of anti-squeal on the backs of the pads prior to installation, so make sure you do the same. So far though, no squeal at all.- There is noticeably less initial bite/friction when you apply the brakes with these. I always thought the OEM initial friction was too aggressive anyway, so I count this as an improvement actually, but it will require me to re-acclimate to the car a bit (pressing harder on the brake pedal than I'm used to)- Since I'm having to press a little harder on the brake pedal now, I'm noticing that my pedal is a little mushier than I ever realized before...

Purchased these pads for my Toyota Matrix XRS, and I am in love with the HPS line of pads for stock calipers. Low dust, no noise. The pedal feel is exactly the same for the first half of the travel, but immediately becomes grabbier on the back half. The benefit is that they're completely drivable for daily use, maintaining an easy stopping without abrupt shifts, yet makes a difference for autocross and spirited driving.

Great OEM brake pad replacement. Follow the bed-in procedures on the box. Had them on for a couple of months and they've done great in subzero to +50F temps, long drives and offroad. Interested to see how long they last. Hard to comment on brake dust since I have black wheels that spend most of their life covered in mud and road salt. So far, I'd buy them again, and for me to say that, means a lot.

My personal favorite brake pads for the street when considering stopping power, initial bite, wear, and dust.I put these on my SUV also.Initial bite is not as strong as PBR Carbon Ceramics or Axxis Metal Matrix, but those don't have the stopping power of Hawk HPS.Dust is better than Performance Friction, but I do think PF stops better for the street pad- gets stronger as you slow down.Better in every way than Raybestos Carbon Metallics.

Awesome performance and value. These are a major step up from my previous set-up with RacingBrake ET500s and cost less too. I drive mostly around town (big city) and even in the winter (freezing temps), these have great initial bite without requiring high-speed warm-ups.

I've had two sets on my '99 Grand Prix GTP with powerstop slotted rotors. After break-in (this is important), the pads were quiet and did much better than the OEM pads. Pros: Great stopping power. Amazing fade resistance. My rotors were (probably) on fire (brake grease got cooked, charring on the calipers, RBF-600 fluid boiled) and these pads kept biting and biting. Not only good stopping power, but even at low speeds they drive like normal brakes. At "street" speeds they have a lot of initial bite (more than ceramic performance pads) and I felt they were reasonably easy to modulate even with all the engagement up front.Cons: These things dust. Really, really bad. However bad you think brake pads can dust, multiply that by 3 and that's halfway describing how bad these pads dust. These pads also squeal coming to a stop at low speeds. It's not an obnoxiously loud squeal or anything like that, but it's something where a pedestrian would probably look at your car and think you needed new pads.Overall: These pads are for people who get their brakes hot. Unless you drive double the speed limit everywhere and have a...

Fantastic pads for sporty-ish daily driving. Wouldn't take these to the track or on the stupidest of canyon runs but are a great performing pad for daily driving. Work well in southern California climate (read: haven't tried in freezing temp's). Pedal feel is firm, with moderate initial bite and linear modularity. Noise is well controlled and dust is moderate. Have only driven for a few thousand miles and cannot yet speak to longevity or disk wear.

These are a great performance pad. Make sure to check fitment, Hawk's website has a lot of useful fitment information including brake pad pictures and measurements. These pads are rotor hungry and produce a ton of dust and sound like a freight train trying to stop. -You've been warned! The stopping power of these pads are what make putting up with the noise and dust worthwhile.

I've been running these on my 69 Chevelle and have been very satisfied. I find the stopping power to be adequate for my very enthusiastic driving style, they make no noise and my grey wheels show no dust at all. They don't bite too quickly, easy to modulate, but get my nose heavy big block machine stopped with a good push on the manual brakes. I do have an adjustable proportioning valve and had to tweak the front / rear bias to work best with my rear kevlar drum brakes to alleviate early front lock up (as compared to OEM style organic compound pads). Just bought a second set during a front end rebuild, but didn't really need them as the last pair still had about 60% left after several thousand miles. These are great for a modified street car, fine for whoaing things down after a blast down the quarter mile (low 13's), but I'd step up to a race compound if you do track days on road courses.

I used these pads on my BMW E46 330i @ Watkins Glen for a 2-day track day, and they worked great! Stopping power was dramatically better than the stock pads, and there was little/no brake fade throughout sessions of 15-20 laps. They definitely work as advertised with CRAZY stopping power. Installation was simple & easy. Now the downside...After following Hawk's bedding-in instructions for the pads, I still could not believe how LOUD these pads were for normal street driving. We're talking so loud that everyone around you stares at you like there's something wrong with your car! I drove out to the Glen with these pads on the car, and I couldn't wait to get them off the car once I was done at the track, simply because of the noise that they generate. Incredibly squeaky, even from the slightest amount of braking, all the way to hard & abrupt stopping.I guess this is just how race pads are when they're not operating at high temperatures, but I would not recommend...

OK so now I've had these installed for over a year and they're absolutely great and have huge stopping power when compared to the oem brakes. The I KY problem I have with then is that they started squealing and screeching after about 6 months with them on. Turns out that these aren't great for an everyday driver but meant more for a car you take on to the track or so since they're high friction pads. Other than making that mistake on my own these brakes are awesome.

These are fabulous pads for stopping! Unbelievable tenacious grip that never fades or hesitates in any environment wet/cold/hot... In the past alleged high performance pads would fail in one of those categories, mostly cold grip. Not these! Grip all day long with minimal pedal effort. Constant and linear grip as well, very easy to read pedal modulation. Now for the not so great part... Everything has a trade-off.1. If you change cars, beware the car you jump into will not stop at the same rate that you are used to! You must apply more brake pedal effort and allow more room with "normal" pads.2. Brake dust!!! Terrible.3. Accelerated rotor wear over ceramics. But not as bad as el cheapo semi-metalics.4. They squeal at low speed. No matter how light or hard you apply the brakes, they squeal. This is a documented issue with these, accept it or move on.5. Did I mention the brake dust?FWIW these were/are on a Cadillac...

Great pads, these perform at least as well as stock on a 2011 Subaru STI.They definitely like to be warmed up a little bit before you really apply force to them (otherwise they feel a little bit too "grabby", and can cause my ABS system to flip out and trip the ABS light, most likely by causing partial lockup of individual wheels). Warming the pads up can be done by applying reasonable braking force for a few seconds, perhaps like going from 70mph to a full stop with 1/3 braking force, or coming off the interstate to find a short off-ramp. Once warmed up, there is virtually no fade, and they will take just about all the abuse you can throw at them on the street (and light track use).I can tell there is a considerable amount more dust with these than the stock 2011 STI pads, but that could also be due in part to the fact that I also went to drilled + slotted rotors when I replaced the pads.I probably wouldn't recommend these for a full race...

Good quality rear brake pads for my 2001 Infiniti G20. I'll take the extra noise and dirt that these pads create along with the increase in brake performance. By noise, I don't mean brake squeal--the pads just make a dull roaring noise in the wheel well area when I step on the brake pedal. The OEM brake pads on my car did not make this noise. No problem, it's not audible when I have my radio turned on anyway. These pads have a shim/backing plate with a pin in the center. The brake pad facing the piston side of the caliper must have this pin aligned with one of the recesses in the caliper's piston.

Had these on my F350 dually paired with a set of power slot cryo rotors for seven years. I drive a heavy load all of the time and sometimes I take it in the mountains. They performed very well. No fade. I always felt safe. I just changed out the rotors. They were getting rough, and you can't have them resurfaced. Since I was going to change them out, I went ahead and order a new set of the same pads. The new pads are installed and, while a little noisy at times, perform great. The noise is expected as the manufacturer states it. It's a trade off. Supreme stopping power for the a little squeal. The old pads had about 50% wear.

Mounted them at the rear of a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T with base brakes, on Drilled and Slotted disks. Given the type of disks, I was worried about too much dust, but I am very glad to say that wasn't the case. There isn't really enough dust to be bothersome, just a little, easy to clean dust which rinses right off. I wouldn't say there dust free, but I would say that the level of performance far exceeds the bother of any possible dust, which as of now is little to none.Just one note, these are Ferrocaron brakes, not Ceramic like indicated in the title. But I would simply disregard it as one buys ceramic brakes because of the low dust, and these are low dust, so don't be scared off.Regarding brake power, it is in the rear so the effects are minimum, and my vehicle has always stopped more than acceptably so I would give them my full tumbs up.No squeaking of course, as expected. All in all, there just was I wanted at an interesting...

This is a great track or maybe a good autocross pad, but terrible for street use. They squeak and make dust. Nothing wrong with the pads - this is what they are designed to do. They just don't get up to their ideal operating temperature under street conditions. Don't expect to use this as a double duty street+race pad.I think I'll keep them for next race season and go to a a less aggressive pad for daily driving.

I wasn't able to find lines for a stock height truck but I did find the Hawk pads "used" on AutoPartsWAY for less than half. I had read many reviews about hawk pads and people seem to love them or hate them so I didn't want to pay full price to find out. The Hawk Ferro Carbon Brake Pads are the Best out on the Market.I own a 2005 GTO, and have tried every Brake Pad on the Market, and the Hawk Ferro Carbon Pads are the only ones that DO NOT warp the Rotors. When you hit high speeds, and stop quickly, these Hawk Pads get better, they dissipate heat quikly, and do not heat up the Rotors. When I used all the other Brands, one Fast hard stop, would warp the Rotors.

works way better than ceramics. they are pricey but when you want to stop instead of brake fade these are what you get. if you have a sports car you would not want to test your luck on anything else. the difference from the ceramics and the HPS are brake pedal to the floor and going through the windshield because the HPS brakes are biting so hard they will stop my car. also this purchase was for the front rotors only not all 4 sides of the car.

I installed this brake pads in my 2012 Infiniti FX50S. The installation was straight forward and it fit perfectly. The package came with a grease to reduce unwanted noises. My main reason to go with aftermarket brake pads is to reduce or eliminate brake dust as it is very heavy with OEM pads.So far, I have ZERO brake dust on my wheels and the braking performance was increase a little bit compared to OEM.

Double the cost of the generic Auto Store pads BUT they practically don't release any brake dust. I'd say compared to my old pads, these can go over 1 week before you really notice the dust buildup on the front rims vs the back ones. My old brake pads showed dust in 1-2 days and made my chrome look smoked.

No problem to install this product on Nissan Pathfinder 2001. Tested on the road both in town and on highway. Performed excellent. I found the dirt is very minimal. This brake pad is made in USA. I highly valued that and strongly believed it is going to last a long while.

Installed these on my 1991 240SX a couple of months ago, installation was very easy. Product comes with a compound to prevent break noise, just make sure you apply it to the correct side. The car stops beautifully even with very spirited driving, and they've never made a squeal or screech.

I paired these pads with EBC slotted and dimpled rotors on my 2006 Mustang (the EBC pads were much more expensive). I drove the combination 80,000 street miles before they both needed to be replaced. This included two seasons of autocross.Street braking performance is consistently excellent, even in wet or snowy conditions. Seasoned track instructors were surprised at how effective my brakes were on such a relatively heavy car.At 140,000 miles I replaced all 4 corners with the same brake combination, plus braided stainless lines. Looking forward to another exciting 80,000 miles!

perfect fit. They are quiet and provide improved stopping power and almost no dusting. They stand up to autocrossing where they are used very well for 45 to 60 seconds and have never seen any fade.

Purchased these to replace the OEM rear pads on my 1991 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo. I know rear brakes only do a small percentage of braking on a car, but these definitely helped prevent some brake fade I was experiencing before. They are not any louder than the factory pads, and so far dusting as been pretty good - we'll see how they hold up to an autocross event later this summer. My experience with these so far has been flawless. A+ product.

Great upgrade over the factory pads on a R56 Mini. Blows the stock pads away in overall stopping power while adding a more progressive feel to the brakes. Perfectly fine on stock rotors and pretty low in the dust they put out but nothing spectacular. Make sure you follow the bedding instructions (actually do everything twice...trust me) and these guys will yank your fillings out once they get a little heat on them!

I purchased these pads as replacements for the OEM Brembo pads which were completely worn down. I went with this particular compound because the Brembo pads were a brake dust nightmare. Literally, the day after washing and driving my car, the front rims would change from shiny, silver and clean to filthy gray. The stopping power seems on par with the OEM pads and they are a little quieter when braking. I haven't experienced any squeaking of any kind. I push my car hard and these pads don't disappoint!

Purchased these pads for my 2004 R32. I drive 75% street and 25% track use. I was worried these would be noisy on the street, but have had them on for a couple days and did 13 runs on an autocross course with them and they are still extremely quiet. Great stopping power for those looking for a balance of street/track use. No noticeable brake dust which is a plus. You will not be disappointed with these pads on your car.

Got these for my 2000 GT with upgraded Corba brakes. These pads are quiet when cold or hot. They are smooth and well behaved at cold temps and they are there for you when you need to stop at high speeds. Warm them up with some 70-30mph slow downs and they act like mean race brakes. Best of both worlds. Plus no dust if any when doing daily driving. Honestly these are the best pads you could ever run.

Use these on my BMW M3 track car. Great performance and long lasting. Quite a combination for a race pad. I find this pad easier to modulate than many of the other pure race pads from Hawk that I have tried but still retains all the benefits of a race pad.

First impression: I only have about 30 street miles on the pads but thus far they are awesome. These are my first track pads ever and although the dust is prolific I have never been able to whoa the car down with such authority. After 7 years of "lifetime" pads at the racetrack I can't express how pleased I am. I haven't hit the track yet though and that will be the true test.Squeal: I'll try to post more later but I have had minimal squeaking so far. Only after a few days did I get some squeaking right at the end of braking just before I come to a complete stop and it isn't bad. I get the feeling that if you have shims and grease them, the piston and any parts of the pad that touch the caliper that you wont' have much, if any, squeal.Dust: Yeah it's pretty heavy but I don't drive it a ton so I'll deal with that.Initial bite / fade. - Compared to the "lifetime" pads these actually have a lot more cold bite but do need to...

These pads were installed on a 2006 Tundra SR5 Access Cab 4.0L with a 6-speed manual transmission. Pedal feel compared to OEM spec pads was much improved, with more progressive bite at the top of the pedal, with very firm, even stops. With OEM pads, I noticed that ABS was easier to trigger. Not so with the HPS. Emergency stops show much improvement. Dust was greatly reduced, and the pads are very quiet. I will definitely use these Hawk pads again. Recommended!

Replaced nearly brand new cheapo' pads front and rear on my 2011 Ridgeline. I was frustrated with the noise level and overwhelming dust. These Hawk pads are a significant improvement. Increased stopping power, no squeal and almost zero dust. These pads exceed all expectations.

This was a good track pad but on the street it produced a lot of break dust and was super loud. I had people getting in my car and saying I needed to replace my breaks it was so loud. On the track though it had great bite and endured the heat with ease. I don't suggest this on a daily driver.

I recently purchased a 2005 STI and guess what, it needed the brakes done right away. Did some research about the different high performance options and decided to try these out. I wanted a pad that would be good on the street but also allow for some autocrossing for fun. The pads fit perfectly and so far have performed great on the street. I read some reviews that these pads dusted more than some other pads, that can be expected of high performance pads and I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary on my car. I was disappointed that they did not include backing plates, make sure you save the ones off your old pads and put them on with some of the included grease between the back of the pad and the plate and the plate and the caliper. They are also very quiet, no squeal at all.

Upon buying and daily driving an old YJ Jeep I found that the brakes were simply not up to par for the kinds of traffic I encounter, nor the speeds I go. There was brake pad material on the pad the Jeep had, but who knows how long the pads had been on it, nor how cheap of pads they were (my guess - as cheap as they could have possibly been).Searched around for caliper conversions, but aside from converting the rears to disks with an 8.8 axle swap, nobody seemed to really be saying their Jeeps needed more than a single piston caliper for the fronts... thus by and large there weren't' many 'upgrade' options out there.Asked about this on a forum, and was recommended these pads. I kept the old rotors, used some wet sandpaper & my hands to resurface the old rotors, then brake cleaner, then Dawn detergent and water.Have to admit I didn't have the time to bed them in all the way, but there's no doubt these Hawk pads were one of the biggest upgrades I've...

I put these pads on the front of my Wrangler with new Bosch rotors and have maybe 1000 miles on them. I never thought my Jeep would stop well because it is big and has 31" tires, but these pads are pretty impressive! Quiet, smooth, and don't fade. I have renewed confidence in highway driving, because I know these will stop me. New rotors was definitely a good idea; there is no squirm or shimmy during braking.I've also taken these offroading, and have had no problems in water, dirt, and mud. They still stop great! Can't comment on life, because I don't have much mileage on them.

These went on my 2008 Tahoe Hybrid without any issues. They definitely provide greater bite and less fade then the stock pads that were on there. This was especially noticeable while towing 5,000 pounds this past weekend. I don't know how long they'll as I've only had them on a couple of weeks. They are more expensive then your typical Autozone / Advanced Auto Parts pads but they look beefier and they definitely feel better.Absolutely change both the front and rear at the same time. Don't use stock pads on one end and these on the other, it's a very bad idea.

I bought these for my 2004 VW R32 after I got aftermarket slotted and drilled rotors from neuspeed. these are the recommended pads and they work well. Between the pads and the rotors, I feel like I have about 40% more stopping power than I did with factory pads and rotors - with the added bonus of dramatically lower costs.

If you have a Touareg, I highly recommend these rotors. Great stopping power (not quite as grabby as OEM but this is a plus in my view as they are much smoother). Definitely smoother and quiter operation than OEM units. Also I did not like the OEM rotors, and I've paired these pads with coated zimmerman rotors (not available on AutoPartsWAY unfortunately). The coated zimmermans are an excellent value, and I've had zero rust and very nearly zero brake dust with this combination. Also no more annoying brake groans or squeals since moving to this combo.

I installed these on a 2007 Lexus GS350 and use that vehicle quite a bit on the German autobahns. These brake pads, with the appropriate rotor, give the required stopping power to match those high speeds.

The breaks are really good. They don't jerk the car when you have to break in high speed. For example, when I drive in rush hour traffic on the interstate I am usually going 80mph and sometimes vehicles spontaneously break. In these situations I would be very upset with my original breaks because they used to jerk my car (2013 Honda Accord Sedan). Instead of a car jerk, my vehicle comes to an abrupt stop without the jerk. I'd say it gives about +/- 1 ft deviation if breaks are applied abruptly. Has very smooth breaking. They aren't loud either.

I've used this brand for both front and rear brakes in my 2007 Toyota Camry V6 and have no issues with them. Honestly, they feel just like the stock brakes, which is a good thing: no noise, no excessive dusting, and brakes work like a charm. I installed them myself, which is fairly easy to do if you have a jack. It comes with brake grease in the package. I would highly recommend this brand for any Camry owner.

Overall I'm satisfied. Paired with Brembo blank rotors they bed in quickly and stop the car without worry, but without a lot of heat buildup the initial bite is noticeably lesser than what it used to be. Warm them up with a couple moderately hard steady stops from speed and you'll easily see what the fuss is about, but for non-spirited driving the only real benefit is the extreme lack of dust.

I bought these for a track day for my s2000 and they held up great. However, they are horribly loud on the street. The squeal very loudly, often when parking your car in front of a large group of people (watching them grimace at the loud squealing noise is a bit embarrassing). I knew these were loud when I bought them, but I didn't realize how loud they really were. People aren't exaggerating. Also, brake dust is horrible, but I can live with that.Don't buy these for the street.

These are great pads for full-sized trucks and SUV's. I have these pads on two of my vehicles and am very impressed. They offer lower dust than stock and the stopping distance seems a bit less. What I really like about these pads is they have a higher heat tolerance than most stock pads. Hence, you will be less likely to get brake fade when hauling a load/descending the mountains, etc. I highly recommend these! HAWK is a well-known company that also makes excellent "track" pads....you can count on this being a high quality product.

There is a price to pay for the great initial bite of these pads in the form of noise and dust. Modulaion is also very good on these pads. Not really recommended for road racing but great for autocross. I use them on my daily driver that I autocross as well. I cannot go back to another pad after driving on these. I tried the HPS, but they felt like they didn't want to stop the car at all. Hehe. I just love the way the HP Plus stop!! If you can deal with the noise and dust, you will not be disappointed.

I replaced my brake pads with these and these are noticeably has better bite than OEM brakes pads.I have 2008 Lexus ES350 and I have driven over 1000 miles on them over freeways & streets and they have a excellent performance. Only minor issue is when you drive very slowly or come to a full stop is an slight rumble from brakes due to the grip from the brakes. No noise otherwise when you properly install them.

I bought these pads and the front version for my 2010 Camaro SS for a track day event. These are not daily driver pads. Because they produce more friction than a stock pad, they can be very noisy especially when gently braking at speeds under 15 MPH. For what they are made for, they are great. They grip the rotors really well and I had no issues with loss of braking power. They do start to make a nasty burned smell when they get really hot though.

These are great pads for a daily driver - normal wear and tear. High performance pads with a minimum of brake dust!If the wrong pad composition on the pad is applied, you could be very disappointed with the performance of these pads. On this application, the letter "F" is the composition of the brake pad. I had to replace my brake hoses and the short hard lines that connect the rear calipers to the brake hoses so I decided to put new pads in at the same time. Car used to squeak pretty bad, even though the pads I took out looked like they had 90% left. These got rid of the squeak, I would have given 5 stars, but I was expecting more from what I had read. I have manual brakes and it takes a lot of pedal effort to get much braking. Others had said the hawk pads had more grip, which I had hoped would mean reduced pedal effort, but I haven't noticed any difference.

Installed these on 1999 JDM Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA V Limited (fitted with Subaru 4-pot calipers in front), which is used mostly for light track days and occasional highway driving. I expected some better performance than Ferodos these replaced, but this turns out to be night and day difference. The brake feel is awesome for a seriously unforgiving car like Type RA, on an fairly difficult track, in some rather warm conditions. Even with prolonged 3-lap runs, these still hold well. They're on a little squeaky side in "normal" driving conditions but that was anticipated and isn't that bad. Can't comment on wear so far. All in all, will buy again for sure!

I installed these on the rear of my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The install took about 15 minutes per wheel and overall the stopping power feels great. They include grease to prevent unwanted squeaks and squeals. They do not include brake pad tabs to hold them in the calper, so if your stock ones are worn/damaged/lost you will need to pick up new ones. Added bonus, you get a sticker!s

Quick delivery, great product. Brake dust build-up on front wheels has been greatly reduced thanks to the Hawk Performance brake pads without appreciable loss of braking, which was my objective. Very satisfied.Jeff

hawk performance ceramic brake pads generate less dust and keep my wheels clean longer than brake pads made from other materials. be aware that these pads take a little longer to warm up before they perform at their full potential. they do a good stopping job during normal commuting and city driving even when they're cold.

I bought these in tandem with the Hawk HB194Z.570 brakes and replaced the stock brakes on my 2010 SS Camaro - and there was a night and day improvement in braking power and brake bite. Installation was incredibly simple - I almost didn't have to remove the brake caliper. Also, there is another review about this product that is completely incorrect. These brakes are compatible with the SS V8 Camaro, and I highly recommend them.

Same review as rear pads...changed both axles at the same time.I only have about 1k miles on these, but have been very pleased with their performance up to this point. I followed the bedding instructions on the box, with the exception of coming to a "complete" stop during each braking exercise.Pros:Quality-made USA product...I was pleasantly surprised by the look and feel of these padsZero noise...even before the pads were properly beddedVirtually no brake dust...may be too early to tellSolid stopping performance...not harsh or soft...perfect feelInstallation ease...fit perfectly for my applicationCons:No clips provided...this may be typical for most pads, but would think they could throw in a new set of cheap clipsBarring any long-term issues, this will likely be the only brand I will buy going forward. Do your research on the various types of pads that Hawk has to offer and you won't be...

These pads installed perfectly. They are the most powerful stopping pads I have ever used. They outclass EBC Greenstuff pads on this Transit Connect. They are better at stopping than EBC Redstuff pads which I had used on other automobiles. Noise level and dust levels are both fine. Stops are fast and straight. As expected, AutoPartsWAY shipping was perfect and the price was right!

I used these pads for my fiancee 2007 cobalt and I paired them with EBC rotors. The only note that I have is that if you use these with coated EBC rotors be gentle bedding them in as the EBC rotors are aggressive on the pads during bed in. After the bedding in these stop ~40% better than stock.

This product came in a timely manner. This is the first time I have replaced the brake pads on this truck so its kind of hard to compare different types of pads. Wish it would've came with the hardware. Next time I'm going back "stock" to see if there's a difference. Until next time.....

I have always used Akebono ceramic pads for my BMW's which are IMHO the best by far, but they do not make them for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo so I tried these. They may be just as good as the Akebono pads. No noise, they brake well and have very little dust. If you drive a German car, you must get rid of the OEM pads. That dust is horrific. My rims look cleaner than the rest of the car. The calipers and all the other parts inside the wheel are not contaminated with black dust and crud like the OEM pads create.

The Hawk LTS pads are the best brake pad you can get for your truck/suv if you tow. These pads are more heat resistant than most and offer low dust and long life. They are a great pad in my opinion. I have extensive experience with brakes, driven and instructed high performance driving clinics, etc. All that said, I am very pleased with the characteristics and performance of these pads.

I received the pads installed on my Jeep, At first I thought the Jeep did not brake any better. After driving for a couple of weeks now, I realize when brakes are applied it's just a softer feel. Once I got used to the new feel, and started using the same amount of pressure as before, the Jeep brakes much better than with the stock pads.

I have these on my S2000. It's a daily driver, but they have seen a track day at AMP and held up well. These pads are very grippy even when cold. I needed to re-calibrate my foot after putting them on even for daily driving to keep from giving myself whiplash. They do squeak under light breaking (like rolling up to a red light), or else they'd get 5 stars. We also use HP+ on our 24 Hours of Lemons car and get 75+ hours of racing out of them.

Believe it or not but these are actually ferro carbon compound and not ceramic. They require a special bedding procedure which is quite easy. Just make a few light stops then a few hard ones to heat up the material and bed it in to avoid eating the rotors away and dusting the pad. Read the instructions for more information and their website also has this procedure outlined. They work like normal when cold and when they heat up they will grab real good. If you want more than average braking power for the street, definitely go with these pads.

I bought these pads as a replacement to the EXTREMELY dusty OEM pads on my 335i, not only do these pads dust less, but the initial bite is excellent and have experience no fade, even during high speed extended braking. These pads also wear extremely well, I've had the same set on my car for more than a year and they STILL have more than 50% pad life left. I will absolutely buy another set when needed! Highly recommend.

I replaced my Hawk LTS front pads on my truck with these. Honestly, I can't tell a huge difference between the two, but they both work excellent. So far they don't dust too much either. This is a large pad, which applies to my 2nd Gen 4Runner, and I was surprised to be able to get this pad type for that truck. These are good heavy-duty street, light-duty track pads when placed on cars. I like the idea that I've got a bit of extra heat tolerance in reserve for towing or generally heavily-loaded hauling. The shims aren't built in like EBC pieces, and weren't completely spot on with their holes. I had to bend it ever-so-slightly to get my retaining pins through the caliper. They saved a couple of cents, no doubt ... and cost me a few minutes. That cost them a star.

Previously, I have always been the guy to buy the cheap pads from your local auto parts store, but as a I purchased a high performance vehicle, I wanted to make sure I could stop at the local autocross events. After reading other reviews I choose to try out the Hawk Performance pads and it is by far the best purchase I have made for my car. After warming the pads up a bit they bite very hard, yet still smooth enough for daily driving. Perfect for autocross/daily driving cars.

These pads are silent and almost completely dust-free on my Cayman. The car has slotted rotors, so I installed them without having the original rotors turned (40,000 miles on them). I googled bed-in procedure for ceramic brakes and for the first time, actually followed the instructions. I don't track or drive too aggressively, but for my driving style, they brake at least as well as the oem's.I did misunderstand one thing - I thought they had cutouts for the oem wear sensors but they do NOT. I had to zip tie them out of the way, and will have to watch the wear manually. The rotors will need to be replaced next time anyway, so no big deal as far as I'm concerned

Installed on wife's 24v Taurus. The pads had good finish - smooth edges to steel plates, pad material molded well and a little thicker than OEM replacements. Had same anti-vibration springs and plate as stock. After some seating to the turned rotors pads stopped better than Ford OEM with no noise. Braking and modulation very predictable from cold to warmed up. No idea at this point as to wear life, but the stronger braking is more important. Will probably be another set for my truck when it's due.

These brake pads made an incredible difference in stopping power on my Chevy Avalanche. The truck weighs close to 6,000 pounds and these bring it to a stop with no problem. They handle heat very well, as repeated hard stops produced no noticeable brake fade. I had to put on the basic $30 pads from my local parts store for a week while I waited for these to ship to me (and for more free time to put them on) because I needed pads immediately, and the difference between the two pads was night and day. I will never purchase any other pads than Hawk LTS for my truck, and they are well worth the additional cash.

I recently put these on my Jeep Wrangler which is lifted with 33's. I was failrly comfortable with the stopping power of the factory pads. I just wanted to replace the rotors and of course you should replace pads at the same time.So I put these on along with some Centric premium brake rotors. Went through the break in period exactly. They perform as good as the factory pads. But performance isn't really increased over the factory pads from what I can tell. I usually drive high performance vehicles so I am more attune than some at performance of different systems on the car. I didn't expect that kind of performance on a Jeep Wrangler at all. But I was hoping for little improvement over stock. I dont feel I really got it. If it did improve, it is only by a fraction. The one big benefit is much lower brake dust on the wheels. And for that , I am ok with my purchase. Which is why I gave these 4 stars and not 3.

I purchased these brake pads as replacements for the OEM pads on my BMW 335i. Not only do these have higher initial bite, but no fade, and dust significantly less than the OEM pads did. I drive with these on daily, even in the winter, without any issues whatsoever. However, be certain to use an appropriate amount of adhesive/sealant to avoid any unwanted noise as aftermarket pads are notorious to chatter/squeel on BMWs.

what a difference on my Ford Excursion. I tow a 28 foot boat and these are great. They have no fade and are smooth and sure. Way better than any other pads I have installed. Very well packaged product. Braking performance improved right away. Life of the pad is acceptable for a street performance brake product. The only con is that although they are low dust, it is very tough to get it off your rims. I recommend that you do not let the dust build up or you will pay the price when you get to cleaning your wheels.

I used these pads on my 2008 Acura TL Type S. They stop quicker and more smoothly than the OEM Brembo pads. Be sure to bed them in properly on good rotors and you will have zero noise and zero problems. They take a few hundred miles before they really start to grip. Don't be afraid to get them HOT during the initial bed in procedure. If you can't smell them, they aren't hot enough!

The items came with everything needed to install and keep on going..The pads provide a good contact surface on aftermarket cross drilled and slotted rotors, which gave the entire braking system more confidence when braking at higher speeds. I also noticed an upgraded response time from the moment the pedal is pressed to the time the actual car slows to a stop.As usual a great product from Hawk!

Just as the title says, the ceramic pads are not as great at braking as Hawks next step up pad, the track pads, but if you rarely do track runs and need something more for longetivity, this is your pad. Still won't fix the notorious Brembo brake squeal, but these are what you want if you DD your vehicle and don't want to be cleaning your wheels week after week.

Installed these in my 1990 Fox body Mustang convertible and I must say these brake pads are the best. Not a lot of brake dust and it was a simple install...less than 10min on both sides. I won't buy any other brand for all my cars and trucks.

I have a 2002 Frontier SC which has notoriously small front brakes to begin with. I had put "censor" auto parts lifetime pads on it and had rendered them nearly ineffective. Switching to the Hawk pads not only returned the braking power but are much much stronger. Would recommend to anyone looking for stickier brake pads. I will use them on every application from now on.

These brakes were a breeze to put in my '06 Lexus. The gripping power is great and immediate. I've had them about two weeks now and they're living up to their reputation as excellent pads. Decided to get these pads for front and back of my '05 Titan. My OEM pads had over 100K on them and still had meat left but my rotors were toast so replaced everything. I installed these along with some Centric Premium solid rotors and followed the bedding process to the T. Overall I am satisfied, maybe not a grippy as my old pads but I feel that under heavier loads they seem to do a little better. They definitely have that metallic pad feel to them when creeping along at a like, vs the smoother ceramic pad feel.My only gripe is that they dust a little more than I was hoping for. I heard mixed reviews on the level of dust but I would say that in a week's worth of driving the dust becomes noticeable and my painted aluminum wheels.Lastly, just a tip, these do not come with the hardware kit so if doing a full brake job be sure to get the hardware kit separately.

These brake pads have an excellent fade free bite, but they are track pads, not street pads. Track pads are meant to work when they are hot, not street driving hot, but track driving hot. They will squeak like a freight train on the street because they are not hot enought. Once you drive them on the track, the squeak goes away when it's operating in it's designed temp range. If you're looking for a good track day pad, but want something that won't destroy your rotors on the way to the track, then these are the pads for you.

First off, the image is wrong. This part number is for the yellow box ceramic pads and that is indeed what I received. After 500 miles I have no issues with braking. Stopping feels comparable to the brembo pads that came with my '12 Mustang GT, but I no longer have to clean my aftermarket wheels every 2 days! Highly recommend to anyone looking for the same stopping power but with less mess.

Hawk HPS pads are my choice for superior brake performance. I have them on my Corvettes and now my GMC pick up. I run these on an '06 F-150 Supercrew with 6' bed and 20" chrome rims (heavier than factory units). I have a 14 mile commute every day in rush hour freeway traffic so having upgraded brakes to quickly stop with the surrounding traffic is a MUST. I also tow enclosed motorcycle trailers 4-8 times a year between 2,000-4,500lbs. so factory rotors with these brakes really help with the stopping distances. Only down side is significant more brake dust versus factory pads but well worth it in my opinion.

The Power Slot rotors combined with Hawk (Performance HB378F.626) HPS Performance Ceramic Brake Pads create a smooth, comfortable, and agile driving experience. Hopefully the painted hub will help prevent rust from forming on the rear rotors. I have been using this combination for over five years without a single complaint. Ive had these pads on my 07 Focus for a few thousand miles now. I was looking for something with a little more bite and better wearing characteristics than the stock pads. After installing and breaking them in, these are noticably better than the stock ones, even when they were new. Will report back after Ive got some real mileage on these to report on wear. So far so good though. Definitely recommended.

Great front replacement pads for 07-08 Acura TL Type-S. They stop great and do not put out as much brake dust as the OEM Brembo pads.

Great pads! I replaced the fronts a couple of years ago with Hawk pads and Power Slot rotors on my '04 F250 and I was and am very happy with the performance of these pads. My truck has 35" tires and I tow a 27' boat and a 12,000lb (loaded)5th wheel and the performance over stock is substantial! The braking comes on strong and solid and has a much more confidence inspiring feel than the OEM. I stayed with the factory rotors in the rear however I may upgrade in the future. The Power Slots up front with the Hawk pads was a night and day improvement over the easily warpable and short lived stock setup. Hawk pads are great, just make sure you research which ones are right for you. There are several to choose from depending on the type of driving, weights you are towing etc.

I've owned quite a few heavy duty pickups over the years and have always had a problem with brake fade when hauling heavy loads or on mountain roads because of heavy use. These pads are nothing short of amazing!! My brake fade is almost completely gone on my '05 F350 Dually and stopping distance after heavy use or when the brakes are soaking wet is really short!! If you have a heavy duty p/u and haul heavy loads or live in the mountains where you use your brakes alot & suffer from brake fade you have got to get yourself a set of these pads!! I'll nevber put anything else on my truck from here on out!!!

I had Hawk pads on the front and now with 4 wheel Hawks, the car really stops well on the track. As expected, these need to heat up a bit for maximum braking so on the street you have to be careful.

I replaced my semi metallic pads with these because I was tired of cleaning my wheels every 100 miles. The product performs as advertised. Great stopping power, very low dust and no noise. Since installing these pads, the wheels stay cleaner longer. The dust is not dark thus doesn't show as much as semi metallic pads and the pads themselves don't create as much dust.

I just put the second set on my F250. The first set had about 70k miles before I replaced them. Put the same pads on the rear at the same time and they still have life left. Truck stops a lot better than the factory pads. My truck spends about 80% of it's life pulling trailers, my brakes work hard. These pads have been great.

These pads are excellent, I don't tow heavy travel trailer at apprx 7000lbs. Pads are quiet and stopping is firm.Only complaint is they don't include the little hardware clips I would gladly pay the extra couple bucks for those little tin clips.

I've been a Hawk pad customer in the past purchasing their HPS product and had great results, although this time I was looking for a pad that was better than OEM, but dusted less than the stock pads or HPS setup. Unfortunately these pads do not live up to their low dust advertisement, often dirtying a clean wheel in a week's time with reddish colored dust. On the positive side than definitely have better stopping power than my OEM Infiniti pads and really bite well when hot. They are very quiet at all times and have decent initial bite when cold, although pedal feel improves with a few repeated stops.

Installed these on my 2008 Taco. Went to the Hawk website first to ensure they were the correct ones before ordering. Pads fit perfectly...job was a breeze. Box included 4 pads, new back plates for the pads, packet of brake grease and a Hawk bumper sticker. I recommend purchasing addition brake grease to ensure there is enough to finish the job. I gave it four starts only because I only noticed a little bit better stopping power with them, not much though. We'll see if they produce less dust than the OEM pads. My only idea for improvement is that Hawk provides new brake pin hardware with the pads...otherwise you have to be extremely careful not to damage the existing pins while removing them. No big deal though. Overall, great product for a decent price. Would recommend to others.

Installed this on my 2002 Tacoma, about 1000 miles ago and so far I have been satisfied. I resurfaced the existing brembo OE rotors and popped in the Hawk Ceramic Performance Pads. Followed the bedding process per Hawk instructions and they made considerably more dust than the ATE Ceramic Pads they were replacing. Just during the short bedding process there was a light coat of dust on the rims. They have a noticably better bite than the ATE Ceramics, but an ever so slightly higher noise also. Overall, satisfied with them, but only time or miles will tell.

I've used many brand of brakes typically from your daily average auto shop such as O'reillys but I must say that this is one of the best brake pad investment I've spent thus far. This is a quality brake pad that can be a replacement on any type of vehicle. I replace these on my 2009 mazda6. The brakes are very smooth, no noise was heard after install. Also one thing I love about this brakes is that it does not produce a lot of brake dust. These brakes has been used for a little over 6 months. Great product!

Installed these on my 2002 Subaru Impreza TS Wagon. The install was fairly straightforward, and they broke in very well. Almost terrifying stopping power, and low fade. Most certainly a good performance brake for someone who drives with enthusiasm, but needs a pad that works well cold.

Installed on the front of an 08 Mazda 3S with new rotors and caliper pins. Followed the bed-in procedure supplied. Grabs better than OEM. Comes with built-in shims and supplied with a packet of grease. Fits fine. No squealing or noise. Too new to comment on the dust. I'm very happy with the set-up.Update September 4, 2013: Installed now for a little over one year and about 20K miles of combined street and mostly freeway driving. The set-up described is still working great. Brake dust is manageable. I would buy these again.Update April 28, 2015: Same pads and rotors - still working great after 50K miles!

This review is essentially a copy of my review for the HB361F.622 (front pads), which I installed at the same time.I have a 2009 Civic Si sedan and blew through the rear pads in about 36k, thanks to Honda's brake force distribution nonsense (never owned a car where the rears went sooner than the first, hurray for technology). Replaced the rears with these and the fronts with the same series (HB361F.622).Around town they can be noisy (creaky/groaning noises when letting off the brakes on a hill, for instance), but when put to the task they do much better than stock pads. Took the car on a jaunt up and down Palomar Mountain in San Diego which is challenging at speed for both cars and bikes, and these pads performed exceptionally well with no fade, especially on the downhill. My mechanic claims these will eat through the factory rotors like nothing else, but I haven't had them on the car long enough to see for sure.I don't notice any change...

i have had these pads for about a week now with Wagner rotors (highly recommended). i have had no issues with noise and the braking action is much improved over oem. the oem pads used to have lots of initial bite but not much bite then after when pressed hard. These have fixed that issue and have a linear bite. I never had brake fade with oem pads so i can't comment on fade resistance. But i will say that 700 deg Fahrenheit is not an impressive temperature tolerance as claimed by the manufacturer. so i would not use these pads at the track. But i did notice that they require one or two moderate stops to bite their best, so they do like heat a bit. Get the HP+ if you want to track your car. Also make sure you grease the back of the shims and add a dab on the guide pins. this should make things quiet. i could not fit them properly into oem shims so i used hawks provided ones. hawk also provides the necessary grease. best bang for the buck.

I recently purchased PowerSlot rotors and Akebono ceramic pads. I wasn't happy with this combination and decided to try Hawk HPS pads. I found the Hawk HPS pads to have superior performance but with some minor drawbacks. The Hawk HPS pads had noticeably more stopping power, a more linear feel, and much less brake fade. Unfortunately, the Hawk HPS pads are significantly noisier than the Akebono ceramic pads and also produce more brake dust. My primary goals are safety and performance. So I am very satisfied with the Hawk HPS pads.

Nsure if it was my install or not but it took awhile for these pads to seat correctly so for the first 2 weeks I was a little underwhelmed with performance. I do ask a bit from the brakes at times on my G8 GT, but wouldnt say I am very aggressive so can't comment much on fading. I was looking for something with midrange performance, decent price, and low dusting. These have fit the bill so far. The price through AutoPartsWAY is higher than elsewhere...Overall I would recommend to those looking to replace OEM with a slight upgrade.

This is the 4th time I've used Hawk HP Plus brake pads, and I am an avid fan. I've tried Porterfield R4S, OEM BMW Jurid, and Hawk HPS, all of which I felt performed below the Hawk HP Plus for street use. I use these primarily for the street on my BMW E46 M3, but have also used at the track before. However these are more meant for the street or autocross but not for track use as the pad material will not withstand high operating temperatures from repetitive hard braking in extreme conditions as your track/race only brake pads would and will show signs of fade. For the track, I use a race only full metallic brake pad Performance Friction 01 (PFC01), the Hawk equivalent of this would be the HT10 or DTC70 (I haven't used hawk race pads before though). However this pad isn't for everyone, as it dusts alot (a day with these is equal to a week with normal oem pads as far as dust is concerned), and if you put them on the rear, they will squeak as loud as a bus. Up front the brakes...

Just as the other reviewer I put these on just prior to a track day. Car is a 2011 STI sedan running stage 2. Performance is much better than the stock pads. Front rotors were upgraded at the same time and also added ATE super blue. No fade at all - the STI is slightly lighter than the Boss and of course makes less power so the pads might be a better match for smaller cars. Exactly as the other reviewer experienced there is a loud squeal at low speeds now. I bedded the pads well so it is likely a symptom of the pads. I am willing to tolerate the noise for the vastly improved braking - I don't drive the car to work everyday. The Hawk HP+ pads are a decent compromise if you don't have the time and/or money for a separate track set up. These are overkill and too noisy for street only use.

I got these for my first track day. I drive an '02 MR2 and these worked like a champ with new stock rotors both days. Only when I was really pushing for an entire session did they start to fade, and that was only a little bit. They were smoking when I got back to the paddock but they still worked great. Still a ton of life left on them after about 4 hours of track time too.

I run these in my 99 Miata. They stop well and they make very little to no noise at all. My only gripe is that the listing says "ceramic," but the brakes are made of a special Ferro-Carbon compound. After some research I found most people think they make for good street-performance brakes and my experience is the same. I'm very happy with them, especially since they replaced some cheap semi-metallic pads that wouldn't stop squealing.UPDATE 11/8/2012: By the way these are for the rear in my 1999; the , which I also reviewed, are for the front. That information is annoyingly difficult to find.I had a problem with sticky calipers and had to drive about 30 miles on the freeway with the brakes stuck slightly on after someone pulled the parking brake too high. Now they squeal like crazy. I don't count this against the brake...

The hawk ferro carbon pads are great. But you have to make sure you buy new hardware as this does not come with new hardware. I installed them on my 1997 ford f350 crew cab with a set of summit racing cross drilled and slotted rotors and the stop great. you have to make sure you do the recommend break in process so you don't get any squealing .

I put these and the corresponding rear pads on my 2003 Expedition 4x4 in '05 along with some Powerslot rotors. Much better stopping and almost no dust compared to OEM. I don't tow a lot, but put a 5x8 trailer and ATV during fall hunting season + cargo + 1-3 occupants. I put about 80k mi. on the pads and am buying new ones since they performed so well. Decided to DIY front brakes on my 2008 F150. Even as a rookie took about 30 mins total for each side. Pads fit perfectly and I followed the break in instructions that came with them and the brakes are great. Stopping power and smoothness noticeably improved from OEM. So a job the dealer wanted over 300 to do I did in about an hour and 70 bucks...very pleased and you can definitely tell these are high quality.

My fiancé and I take my Cobalt SS turbo to VIR and Autobahn every year. We switched to these rear pads before we went for the first time with the car as per suggestion of the performance engineer that made the Cobalt SS was it is (we both work at GM). The pads are great for our two day VIR experience and one day Autobahn experience. They last longer than I would have thought too - especially since there are two drivers for the car. Until I get another daily driver and make this a track specific vehicle with roll cage, I will always be putting these pads on the rear brakes.

If you are buying these brakes, you probably know what you're buying already. These are a great autox pad and a track pad for lighter cars. They are noisy so not great on the street, but make do they have great stopping power.NOTE: For our specific VW application (MKIV GTI), Hawk had the wrong part number specified. This product is already a market leader and as its a race pad you cannot go off my review for your car or driving. They are not a street pad so go for HPS if you are not on track most the time.Your car and driving may be better with other makes or pads but for me, they are perfect.

I installed them on a 2008 Mazda cx-7This vehicle weighs 4000 lbs, but these pads are a dream can't comment on dust yet, but I installed on rotors without turning them. My stock pads had 96,000 miles and had lots left on them(highway miles). These pads are fairly quiet and stop good when cold, but flat out amazing when they heat up. As I come to a stop I find myself having to really let up otherwise I'd be on the dash. I do not regret these. Even includes grease to quiet and lube

I have owned my 1990 Miata for about 2 years now, and it's braking ability has been an item of concern to me since I purchased it. The brake pedal was very sensitive, and if I tried to stop quickly, I would inevitably lock up the tires, leading to some "fun" press->lock->release cycles to get stopped in time. I considered replacing the pads, but the pads on the car had so much life left that I hated to "waste" them. Finally a particularly short yellow light at the bottom of a highway offramp (ending with four of the lock->release cycles and my car halfway into the crosswalk) convinced me that I ought to do something. After doing some research, I decided on these pads, as they have pretty good reviews around the Miata community, and I'd had good luck with the brand on my old Taurus SHO.Installation was pretty much on a par with any other Miata brake pad. I opted to replace the caliper hardware while I had everything apart, and I'm glad I did as the slider pin...

Bought a used 2005 Grand Cherokee. The front rotors were warped so the dealership installed new rotors when we took possession. I have been a fan of Hawk brake pads for the road course/street so I thought I would put on a new set for the front. Installation on the Grand Cherokee was a breeze. The feel of these brake pads are better then whatever was on the vehicle before. There is a very linear response in the brake pedal. The pads on the vehicle before had a feel where I felt I had to push harder towards the end of the travel then should be necessary. The bite of the Hawk pads increases progressively with the travel of the brake pedal. It is very easy to modulate the braking. The initial bite is about the same; these are not grabby brakes. If theses brakes are anything like the Hawk HPS I am sure there will be some dust but that doesn't bother me too much. You can always go with the Hawk Ceramic if dust bothers you.It is hard to find out...

I have a Ford Excursion that went 88k miles before I touched the brakes. The were far from perfect, but not near as bad as some Ford Super Duty trucks. Mine were typical, under certain conditions would pulse badly, fade easily under hard braking and even under normal conditions would often give me a good wobble. But they worked and for over 7 years of in town driving as well as towing a 7500# boat, sometimes with the trailer brakes disabled. After years of hearing recommendations of Hawk Pads, both with stock rotors and with after market rotors, I bit the bullet and took a chance that they really would be that good and worth the money. They aren't, unless you think solid, smooth brakes that not only don't fade, but increase smooth solid braking under those hard core conditions where you'd expect fade!!!!I replaced my brakes with Power Slot rotors (standard, not cyro'd) and Hawk LTS pads after many years of recommendations for applications like mine, heavy...

I got these for the front brakes of my 2004 Mazda 6 3.0L 6-cylinder FWD wagon. About 60% of the weight is on the front axle so the front brakes are very important. The pads stop the car on a dime - better than OEM - and without squeaks and with minimal brake dust. They have also lasted longer than OEM pads, which only lasted 40K miles - these are at 40K miles and still have a lot of life left.I highly recommend these brake pads.

I have used Hawk Performance brake pads for about ten years now on three cars. They seem to stop about a car length better then standard pads with no squealing or major dust. I have used race pads before but they have both those problems and need a couple stops to warm up to operating temperature so they are not smart for driving on the street but great for the race track. Hawk is best for the street or if you want to autocross where you may not have time to warm up the pads. Lasts about 30k miles on the front and 50k miles on the back.

Good stopping performance. Not too much dust, no noise.I use these HPS pads on the rear wheels and other HPS pads for the front. The only problem I have with this pads is that it does not last as long as the front ones. Maybe because the rear rotors are not the vented type.Overall, complete satisfaction with HPS pads.

I've been using using Hawk HPS brake pads on my Acuras and Hondas for multiple wear cycles and have found them to be a durable performance brake pad with confidence building grip and minimal fade under extreme demand. I recommend these HPS pads for any other like minded "spirited" driver that needs a more aggressive braking dynamic while keeping those alloy wheels and "wet" black tires mostly clean for the longest time possible....

I purchased these for my Town & Country minivan because I wanted better brakes when pulling my double-waverunner trailer. I put them on both front and rear. I got what I was looking for! There were times with the stock pads that I just didn't know if I was going to be able to stop in time .... when I would end up 2 or 3 feet past the line at a stoplight that had changed quickly, or way too close to the vehicle in front of me. That problem is gone. When I apply the brakes, now, they grab and hold and I have no doubts that my stopping ability is assured. They have made a world of difference in my confidence when pulling that trailer. They do generate more brake dust than the stock pads, but that is a small price to pay for the added safety they offer.

This is my second set of Hawk HPS pad. I have tried many pads but Hawk HPS is the best for street and track use. Stopping power is better than BMW OE pad and almost no brake dust at all. It did lacking of some cold bite, definitely you can feel it, but once its warm up, it rocks ! This is the first time I can feel the connection between driver and the brake pad, especially you can feel it when it is cold or warm. Performance in the weekend trackday is perfect, two thumbs up !

Great pads... great stopping power... no squealing. Highly recommend as a replacement for OEM pads on the Aspen/Durango. The install went perfect, as there were no quirks to overcome.

These pads, once they've been bedded in (which takes around 1K miles), do a very good job. I used these on both the front and rear of my '95 BMW 740i, and I'm quite happy with the performance. I replaced the rotors with cheap Centric non-drilled non-slotted rotors, and they still work very well with my "enthusiastic" driving. They seem to be creating a lot of dust, but I've only used them for a couple thousand miles so far; that could be a result of the bedding process. Never the less, I've used EBC Green Stuff on other large cars (such as my Grand Marquis and Tahoe) recently, but will probably be switching to Hawk pads next time I need to replace my pads on those cars. The one star deducted is for the relatively high (but not unreasonable) initial amount of dust. I'll post a follow-up later on if I remember.

Just installed the Hawk HP plus brake pads over the weekend, with ATE gold type 200 brake fluid - followed all the brake-in procedure from Hawk's website, but the pad still squeaks like a bus!! The noise gets really loud at low speed when stopping at a stop sign. The good side of the brake pads is I can feel the difference right away compared to the OEM brake pads, stopping power is much improved. Saw other reviews online saying that the noise will go away at higher temperature (track events) and this is the main reason why I'm buying this set, so not too worry about the noise on the street. Next track day is coming up and I will update how these pads hold up on the track.

These are paired with Brembo blanks on the front of my 97 Celica ST (w/ GT brakes front & rear).Overall, I'm very pleased with these pads. I'll never buy parts store pads again. I haven't heard a squeak from these pads, though I religiously lube all sliding surfaces, including the spring clips. They aren't dusty at all, which is nice. I'd say they improved stopping power by 30% or so. I have Toyota OEM pads on the rear. Can't comment on wear yet as I've only had them for a month or so.

These pads are NOT for tracking all day. They will fade if you drive on a road course that has more than 4 turns. However, for light track duty (beginners) or street, they are best you can buy without using a full race compound. And keep in mind, they were not designed with shims in mind. So they squeal like a pig. Nonetheless, they are the best street pad that you could use for occasional, few sessions, light auto cross for beginners. After using many other brands, I now only use Hawk racing compound pads for full days tracking. Hawk Blue or DTC's are quite a bargain. Considering I haven't found any higher priced pad that preforms better & lasts as long at the tracks I frequent most: Sebring, Homestead, Road Atlanta, or VIR.

This is my third set of these Hawk pads on the front of my car. I get about 30k miles on the fronts, 75k on the rears. They all stop very fast with minimal fade under my aggressive driving, do not make noise and shed a normal amount of brake dust. I made the mistake of putting on a set of OEM type pads a few months ago and the braking performance decreased so much that I replaced those almost new pads with these Hawk pads.

Got these pads for my S2000 for this year's HPDE season. Here's what I think...Pro: Excellent stopping power, excellent pedal feel, good heat resistance (more than enough for HPDE 1)Con: Dust, noises at street speeds/pedal applicationFor my current needs, the HP+ are perfect. During my last track day, they didn't fade and stopped reliably lap after lap. Take for granted I am in HPDE 1, I wasn't going that fast. However, the HPS I used last year started fading after only 3 laps on the same track. Pedal feel is firm, and easily modulated. Stopping power is much better than stock pads (same tires). I couldn't find a single fault on the track for the HP+ pads. Now, on the street... They squeal, a lot, especially during light brake pressure. And dust. My front wheels are black after 1.5 months of driving, with couple of track days thrown in the middle.I am willing to deal with those for track performance. If you are only...

I just replace the rear brake pads on my 2002 odyssey and these work great so far. They feel solid under braking and there is absolutely no sound no even when breaking them in. There was zero break in time, my first test brake was quiet and strong. I cannot comment much on how these compare to OEM rear pads because the majority of the braking is done by the front brakes in cars, but I plan on using these from here on out. Once I replace the front pads on any of my cars I will leave another review.

As Advertised. These ceramic pads provide excellent stopping power, yields low dust, and out lasts many other brands of ceramic pads that I have use in the past. I drive in NYC with plenty of stop & go traffic, and these pads definitely handle what I put them through. I will continue to purchase Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads in the future.

I'm used to only replacing parts on my Lexus with factory OEM parts unless the aftermarket part is superior to the stock part. The Hawk Brake Pads are truly superior to OEM Lexus brake pads and that is a true feat!

best pads, great stopping, lifetime warranty but haven't needed to replace after install, why not protect you $$$$$ vehicle and passengers with these good brake pads rather than cheap factory ones. just be sure to turn rotors to make sure they are good also or pads will get ruined.

I put these pads on my 03 WRX and they are a big Improvement over the factory pads. They definitely have more stopping power now I barely have to touch the pedal to feel a response when braking. They work as advertised for sure. If u are worried about noise do what I did and buy permatex disc brake quiet it's a blue spray that is very tacky and goes onto the back of the pads do not put it on the linings and u shouldn't have a noise problem. bottom line is if u want a cheap way to improve your braking this is it

I have these pads on an 01 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner. They are as good or better than any other pad I've had on there and they fit like they're supposed to. I can't tell you how long they'll last yet, but so far I'm happy.I paired these up with the cheap Brembo brake disks. Those are pretty decent too.

Just installed these pads a couple weekends ago on my 2006 Toyota Tundra. They have the shim built into the back of the pads, just applied the brake lube to the back and installed them. So far they run very quiet, just as quiet as factory pads, but I can feel them biting harder on the rotor. Not enough miles on them yet to tell if there is more/less brake dust.Very nice pads, worth the extra money over standard replacement.

I have been using these pads on my car for almost 5 years.Braking feels solid and there is a noticeable difference in brake fade between the Hawk HPS brakes and OEM.I did notice these brakes seem to squeal more than others. This can be confusing as it is hard to tell when the brakes are squealing because of the pads or the wear indicator is rubbing the brake rotor.Price seems to be middle of the road for performance street brakes.Overall, I would suggest them as an easy way to improve braking over OEM.

Installed these on my 1992 Honda Accord EX.Excellent stopping power, very minimal brake dust accumulation. Improved stopping power over the previous auto parts store "premium" pads that blackened my alloys.I've since gotten rid of my 1992 Accord and upgraded to a 2007 Civic EX...it appears that these also fit that car, and I'll likely put these on that car as well, when the OEM brakes wear out.

Replaced my OEM pads with these. Definite improvement in stopping distance and absolutely no squeal or noise from these. I spent a lot of time researching what to replace my OEM pads and these where the ones I settled on. While there were options at a third the cost of these performance was my only consideration. They come with a packet of high temperature grease to use between the pads and backing plate and on any pins that may need lubricant.A few notes to remember when replacing. Get your rotors turned down or replaced if needed. If they are in decent shape (not grooved or glazed) you can sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper. You need to do at least one of these things as the pads will not bed-in properly with the rotors. After installation the following is the proper bed-in procedure recomended by hawk to bring the resins out of the pad and mix in with the rotor surface. Here is the proper way to bed-in these pads after installation. This is very...

These brake pads are phenomenal! I am using them with EBC 3GD rotors, and the combination is providing stellar braking performance on my full size truck! I opted to go with these pads instead of Hawk HPS pads (which I have used before), as the LTS the claim of having better braking performance than the HPS. These pads do seem to grab better than the HPS, and based on their specifications should be the better Hawk pad for a full size truck.

Got these pads for an 06 Corolla S along with some slotted/drilled rotors. The braking with these pads is just incredible. Much better than factory pads in performance, reliability, and duration. A great alternative for your next brake pads change. I don't experience much braking dust. Also own HPS pads on an 01 Celica GT that I have had for 2 years now, also with slotted/drilled rotors, and those pads are still going strong.

This is my second vehicle that I have used these pads on. They perform just as advertised if not better. No squeal. No brake dust. The fit was perfect. The break-in was a snap. The best part to me was the increased braking power. My truck stops much easier with much less pressure on the brake pedal. I would recommend these to anyone.

Hawk HPS HB478F.605These Hawk HPS pads are designed for the rear brakes on a multitude of cars, including the Solstice GXP, Sky Redline, Mazda3, Volvo C30/S40, and Cobalt SS Turbocharged. Hawk makes several brake pads for street and racing applications. The HPS and Performance Ceramic are intended for street applications, while HP Plus, Blue, and a few other lines are intended for racing. The racing pads create a lot of dust, don't last very long, and produce a lot of noise in certain instances. Hawk is just a brand of Wellman, who makes lots of friction materials for heavy-duty applications. These are my second set of Hawk pads and Wellman's customer service is one of the best I have seen in the industry. The Hawk pads always come with a logo sticker, high temp grease, and the pads themselves. The HPS pads are supposed to be a more performance oriented pad material compared to the ceramic. Based on a lot of feedback, the Ceramic pads actually...

I installed these in my 2003 Civic Si. Their performance is excellent, no fade and noticeably smoother and better brake performance over OEM brakes I had installed. I've had them installed for about two months now with virtually no dust accumulation. The slight noise I hear I believe is due to the EBC slotted/dimpled rotors I replaced the OEM rotors with. These pads are light years better than OEM or any Raybestos OE replacement.Overall I'm very happy with the purchase, AutoPartsWAY's price/prime shipping. I highly recommend them and would most definitely purchase again.

Put these on a 2005 Yukon XL 2500 4x4. When i bought it used, the brakes were trashed. Rotors were warped and rusty, and the OEM Pads weren't doing much. I think it must have sat for awhile. Put these on with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors and now it stops on a dime and picks it up.

I purchased the rear Hawk brake pads through AutoPartsWAY. I couldn't have been happier. They shipped extremely fast and are a great replacement over the stock pads. After driving on the pads for about 1,000 miles now, I can definately tell there is a lot less brake dust on the wheels.
