I bought this for my 2003 Dodge Ram 5.7L. I had the check engine light with code P0441 for a long time. Finally, I did the research and discovered this was a likely cause. Removal of the old pump was fairly easy, and installation of this one was equally easy. Overall, I spent approximately 30 minutes under my truck. The one downside is that I didn't know which port was the inlet and which was the outlet on this pump. I didn't pay close enough attention when I removed the bad part so I had to guess on the new part. One of the hoses more easily reached to the 'far' port, so I attached it the way it seemed to make the most sense. So far so good...this part has been in my truck for probably 3 months now and the check engine light has never come back on.I did have to 'reset' the error code using my diagnostic tool after installing this. It hasn't come back on in the 3 months since; whereas before I replaced this part, the error code would return after a day or...

Saved hundreds of dollars with this part, a little reading on emission systems, on-board diagnostics, and a few YouTube videos. Opened the original part and found heavily corroded leads running up to the pressure switch that was probably also destroyed with corrosion. Don't mess around and get this part if the fault codes point to a stuck high/low at the leak detector. Was fairly easy to replace given it was mounted on the side of the fuel tank and not the top of the tank.

This fixed my check engine light for $25. If you have a P0440 code this may fix your problem, although it's a gamble to skip diagnostics
