This seemed to work okay. I should also note the construction seemed pretty good and above what I expected to receive.

Replace both intake and exhaust while your doing it. I used this on a 09 g6 2.4 ecotec. Worked perfectly.Part No 917-215 and 917-216.Blow out all the dust, dirt and sand from the general area before you remove anything. 10 mm socket to remove the old ones, 8 mm sockets to install the new ones. Once you pull the old part out (you can twist them with channel locks 10 degrees back and forth pulling up) you WILL get around that area and make putting the new one in without contamination way more difficult. Remember... put a couple drips of engine oil on the o-ring before inserting so you dont pinch it. Easiest way to tell which is which, the cable connectors are keyed, just match them up. Do one at a time so you dont drop anything into the motor. Start the screws with by hand so you dont cross thread. Only use like 8-10 pounds of torque on these, remember, the block is aluminum.

P0013. Check engine was on. Changed both intake and exhaust solenoids. Erased codes and saved gas :). The original solenoids came with a 10mm bolt. New solenoids come with an 8mm. Just to save u guys time;)

Great cost compared to purchasing at your lical parts store. Arrived on time. OEM part. Even if you dont believe your H3 doesn't need one now.....purchase and repkace your existing one now!....dont wait for your H3 to send issue codes...because by then the little worn plastic parts are eitherin your engine or oil pan! Its an easy install and good preventative maintainance to perform.

Good product but does not come with the bolt as pictured . Picture is misleading you will have to save your old bolts.

The car dealer and the auto stores marked up this item up 50 to 100 percent. Its an easy fix and you can save three hundred dollars by doing it yourself. Not bad for 45 minutes of work. This part fits a 2005 hyundai Elantra.

this worked just fine and replacement was a snap. I spent the most time carefully removing the protective seal that goes around them. I would be willing to pay more for these if they came with a new seal.

I've used these Dorman VVT solenoids on about a dozen 2004-2006 Ford 5.4L vehicles that had cam phaser noise. About half of the time, just replacing the solenoid solves the problem, and half of the time I still had to replace the cam phaser also. When I replace the cam phaser, I also replace the timing chains, guides and tensioners - doing the job completely and correctly. This new design has a larger surface area of the filter screens to improve oil flow thru the solenoid. The original Ford design had undersized filter screen ports that could easily be clogged with debris.AutoPartsWAY has as good a price as any other online. I stay away from ebay, having found solenoids represented as new and redesigned, but actually just being cleaned up used old designs. These solenoids are patterned after the redesigned Motorcraft part found on 07 and new Ford 5.4L engines.I will continue to use these Dorman solenoids in my repairs since I've had great success and no come-backs...

Before this part I had an almost constant engine check light. The light also had an unpleasant side effect, HARD transmission shifts. CODES: P0013, P0014. Both are for Exhaust cam timing. Started with position sensor replacement. Nope, still had light. Now I've changed the VVT solenoid. No more light. Trans shifts much more smoothly now. Had it installed a week now and still no light, trans is shifting smooth as glass.

I had a Check Engine Light and Diagnostic Trouble Code (P0013) show on my scan tool. My car is a Chevy HHR with a 2.4 ecotech engine. Checked online with the 4 local part stores and all 4 said that I had to order and wait 5-7 days. I saved $20.00 and had my new part in 6 days. This is the exhaust cam solenoid! The electrical connectors are "keyed" to prevent the wrong part being installed. This an easy part to change. You need a 8mm nutdriver to remove air cleaner, 10 mm socket and 6" extension to remove hold down bolt, a pair of large pliers to pull old part out. Reassembly is reverse of removal with the exception that you will need a 8mm socket for the new bolt that comes in package. TIPS --> 1) Clean recess area where these solenoids are installed with brake cleaner and compressed air. When you take out the old one you are exposing internal oil passages. 2) Be gentle with electrical connectors! Patience! Don't panic about mixing up connectors or intake...

exact fit as factory, fair price, fast shipping. Part was bought for hyundai tiburon, part matched factory part and is exact same part sold in local auto part store. I checked out part at store before buying this as great savings. Did not see any plastic parts, all steel.

This OCV regulates the variable timing apparatus. The Original lasted 9 yrs 165KKM or 100K Miles. From "appearance" the Dorman product has an inferior build than the original BUT works for 2004 2L Elantra. However in Canada the Original cost $285 VS This Dorman at $89 So no complaints. Simple to install, do reset the Car's computer just prior to installation with ignition on but engine off! or it will take while before the computer detects that OCV is operational. Also Be careful with old electrical harness - can be brittle! and lube/prime the rubber O ring on the OCV prior to installing it.

I wouldn't have needed this had I not damaged the existing VVT oil control valve when removing the head from my 2003 Toyota Camry 2AZ-FE. The new part arrived very quickly and slid into place perfectly. Just remember to remove your old valve before taking out the head bolt from the same corner or your 12-pt bit will bend the junk out of this thing. After discovering the problem, I was amazed I was able to get it removed in one piece. The front two sections of the valve cage literally broke apart in my hands. Lets hope this Dorman part is made of a more durable material than the OEM unit.
