Great fit. Easy to install without lifting engine. High quality finish and strong welds. Also has great ground clearance. Only drops to about even with cross-member under oil pan. My 9" sump pan now hangs about an inch lower than the headers.

The headers fit great and cleared the frame. The outlet is below the transmission crossmember, so plan on that when you look at your exhaust. The paint burns off quickly if you are going bare, but it makes A LOT of smoke. Otherwise, sand blast and coat before you install. Came with flange gaskets and reducers.

Do not start your engine in your garage after adding these!The black paint burns of and stinks like a nothing else!

These went on a 84 c10 305 stock. The only issue I ran across was that the header on the pass side was hitting the metal fuel lines. I called Hedman and they said they have never heard of this issue. I was able to bend the fuel lines just enough to keep them from touching the header. Then I wrapped the fuel lines with heat reflective tape. No problem after about a month of driving. If you have the money get the ones already coated. I had these sand blasted and painted them with VHT Fireproof black, using their Fireproof primer also. I baked the paint on the headers using the mounted on vehicle method as recommended by Hedman, So far so good as far as the paint staying on. Just a pain to paint. Truck sounds awesome with true duals 2 1/2" pipe with 40 series Flowmasters. No cats. No H pipe or X pipe. Off road vehicle only.

item came as described but had a heck of a time installing them in my 70 nova sb with a/c. Had to cutevaporator box at bottom to clear headers. The collectors were new for me but seem to seal quite well.Next time will try hooker comps

I just ordered the wrong ones. I know several people who use these, get them powdered coated first or spray a very high temp coating/paint. Preparation is key to coating.

I snagged up these shorty headers after finding out that long tubes aren't CA legal. What an improvement in quality over the notoriously bad stock headers on my 2000's Mustang. No more exhaust leak whoo hoo!

I'm happy with these overall. I did have some fitment issues so have to take off one star for that but with some coaxing, I finally got them all bolted up. I was happy I was able to buy american made product that didn't cost a fortune. Wish all my hotrod replacement parts were US made.

Very well constructed product. Will fit the AMC 304 currently in my CJ-7 as well as the AMC 401 that I am building to replace the 304 when it tires out. I like the under carriage exit leaving the vehicle to appear more stock. The the stubs that bolt to the lower plates of the manifolds are included in the set and will allow the manufacture and attachment of a custom exhaust system. These manifolds are sold as " uncoated " however, they are painted with a standard quality paint to prevent rust during shipping and storage. High temp would burn this coating off rapidly, so requires stripping prior to recoating with high temp paint or coating. The price is unbeatable, particularly when Free Shipping is taken into consideration....

These are a great value, mine have lasted over 20 years and never had any failed welds or any problems. Gas mileage improved about 10 percent and torque is noticeably greater. Never any issues with rust or corrosion and they sound great.Despite what the ad (and some rooky southern California smog techs) say, these hedders are legal in California on 6200 gvwr and higher pickups manufactuered before 1979, which are all classified as federal heavy duty emmisions vehicles and came stock without cat, egr, evap etc etc.

CA SMOG LEGAL!!! nice product. Install is a PITA on both sides. The oil dipstick and tube will need to be removed and then modified to fit. or you can buy a flexable LOKAR setup. On the PASS side, be ready to ley over the engine and shoehorn these babies in. Getting them bolted to the mid pipe is a PITA also but overall a great product. It seals up well with the gasket provided. Just use a little high temp gasket maker on both sides to ensure a complete seal. The bolts go in easy and dont strip out like others. take your time and go easy, it will fit. They increase the sound and add som HP to the V6. Great when pair up with the DYNOMAX exhaust kit.

The headers are not the chromed out version you see on the photo, but rather are the "Chikara" standards. However, they are good quality and you receive all the necessary equipment, bolts, O2 sensor rewire kit, individually packaged header gasket, collector gasket, and decals. If you have never done headers before than it comes with an instructional how to flyer and the steps one should take before and after attaching your equipment. Some of the black coat is coming off from being banged together during shipping, but overall I am extremely satisfied. My Talon now has better breathing and it really shows with this simple bolt on from Hedman!!
