1970 Plymouth Road Runner Exhaust Manifold Gasket Set 8 Cyl 7.2L Mr Gasket

  • Features:
    • Has A Steel Core With Graphite Facing
    • Graphite Facing Has Excellent Thermo-Conductivity
    • Coated With High Temp Silicone For Sealing
    • Will Not Indent Aluminum Heads
  • Manufactured from high-temperature steel core/graphite faced exhaust material. Expanded steel core provides stability and maximum torque retention to eliminate gasket failure. Graphite facing provides excellent heat resistance and thermal conductivity to transfer heat away from the cylinder head. Conforms to and seals minor surface irregularities. High recovery material allows header or manifold flange to stay sealed if flange loses clamp-load. Can be trimmed if necessary for modified port applications. For original equipment replacement, high performance street, drag race and oval track use.

Excellent update for 'gasketless' GM TBI small-blocks - proper port match. Don't forget to replace the old manifold bolts, as they won't hold torque after years of hot/cold cycling.

These are beautiful gaskets. I am thinking about getting an extra set to mount on the wall in my ManCave. I expect my rating will go up after the engine is reinstalled and running again.

When I first installed these I had a leak on the passenger side header. When I puller the header I found that the gasket didn't cover part of the header flange. In reality the problem was more with the header than the gasket but the gasket is also somewhat at fault. The reason I say this is because the gasket port size is a good bit larger than the port on the head. If they offered different gaskets for different part sizes you could likely get a better fit. I.E. one gasket for stock ports, one for larger ports, etc. Much as they do for Ford and Chevy. In the end though I cut the gasket into separate pieces for each port section. I then elongated the holes for the offending port and got it to match the header flange. No more leaks and is holding up well at 3500 miles.B
