  • For the person who wants a subtle custom appearance with all the benefits that a Flowmaster(R) Cat-back exhaust system provides. This American Thunder(R) exhaust system delivers a deep powerful exterior tone with a mild to moderate interior tone. The mandrel-bent 3.00-inch aluminized steel tubing flows into a specially designed resonator and the Super 50 Series(TM) performance muffler helps keep things fairly mellow inside the cab area of the vehicle. The system uses the factory hanger locations and the dual 2.50-inch tailpipes are finished off with 3.00-inch polished stainless steel tips. Like all Flowmaster systems, benefits include improved throttle response, power and mileage. Designed for an easy fit, these systems include all necessary parts and hardware for easy installation and is covered by our 3-year Limited Warranty.     Flowmaster operates the only exhaust Research and Design facility of its kind in the world, centered around our SuperFlow engine dynamometers complete with E.C.A. (engine cycle analysis) equipment and also SuperFlow chassis dynos. Through use of these dynos, Flowmaster's engineering staff can track the complete engine cycle in millionths of a second and can obtain exact technical data of each degree of cam rotation, from induction to the tip of the exhaust system, while also showing the power numbers that really matter, the power numbers "to the ground." Flowmaster also utilizes Spectrum Analyzers to fine "tune" the sound of each of the eleven different series of mufflers that Flowmaster currently offers, both for peak performance and just the right sound levels and tones.
