I've been using these plugs for most of the time I've had my Toyota and they are replacing the original NGK plugs. The Bosch seem to start the car easier, run smoother and give better gas mileage, and though ,mechanics recommend the original kind, I won't use any other than these.

I put these +4's in everything I drive. Typically, they will increase mileage by 10%. The only thing better was when they made ring-fire plugs which no-one makes anymore. Hard to beat the price of them here on AutoPartsWAY.

I put these in my 2007 toyota fj cruiser... immediately notice the truck runs a lot more smoother and over the weeks also noticed a small improvement in gas milage .. Overall the truck runs better than before (this was compared to toyota dealership regular spark plugs)Not related but noteworthy.... (i do not run my tank to empty not a good idea living in the country) so all milage is to a 1/8 of a tank of gas.... My FJ is a premium fuel vehicle meaning it needs to run 91+ octane or higher. since the mandatory ethanol law all the gas stations in my area have changed to 87 octane. when I was running 91+ octane i was barely getting 250 miles to a tank of gas after the mandatory ethanol law I was forced to run 87 octane with 10% ethanol which I would only get 175 miles to a tank of gas... (huge drop was not happy about that) I put in the Bosch Iridium Fine Wire Spark Plug it boosted the gas milage to around 200 miles to a tank of gas.. then changed the oil from toyota's...

How does one write an informed review of something like a spark plug unless one has some kind of exotic test gear? The gap setting on these for my car is 42 to 46; the gap of the old ones I pulled was > 70 and they were still firing, I hope these will do as well.Any how, I installed them and my car is running fine so time will tell.

Great spark conductor. Works really well like heavy duty copper. Copper is the best conductor of electricity, and this item resembles the reliability of good contact and transfer of electrons for a great spark and no misfires. After replacing four plugs. I have notice less engine loss of power and regained better MPGs in the long commutes after four weeks.

These were in my used Ford 1996 Tbird 4.6L That engine is a pain in the butt with it's deep plug wells harboringall forms of debris just waiting to fall into the combustion chambers upon plug removal. Carefully blow that crapout with a plastic tube first and use a socket which holds the plug for removal and replacement. These plugsare good but Ford engineering has complicated my life. I bought (4) of these to address a misfire trouble codewhich was simply due to conductive crud in the plug well (coolant can cause this also)

Spark plugs are often debated among enthusiasts. Bosch is always a solid bet and the only thing my BMW's won't complain about. Your best bet, because of wear pattern in the block, is to use the plug your car came with from the factory. If your car came with Bosch replace with Bosch and it will all work out.

I have been using Bosch +4s in all my vehicles simply because I never have to replace them again, which is especially important with the modern transverse V-6 engines rear plugs being so inaccessible. The design of the plug puts the spark across the face, directly into the fuel mixture so in performance applications one does not have to ever index plugs again. With 4 electrodes there is always one ready to fire no matter how “worn” or “fouled” the others become.Your engine cannot help but perform more efficiently until the day you sell it.The biggest problem I have found with these plugs is a lot of garages take them out and replace them with their own crap claiming your car was running bad because of “junk” plugs. I took a car in for AC work and they pulled that on me, but I finally forced them to buy me a new set and install them as my “old” ones were thrown out. Amazing what a letter to the local paper will...

I changed these on our Volvo XC70 and I would have to say I see a better idle. Driving seems just the same but idle is smoother and quieter. All the dealers say to go with nothing but Volvo plugs but these were a 10th of the price after the rebate. Could be a combination of having a contact-less throttle position sensor and Bosch coil packs, from what I've also heard from others with the same equipment. I will get these again next time I need them. Bosch has been good with everything I have tried so far.

I bought 4 of these and installed them myself on my wife's 2008 Kia Optima. The ones I replaced were OEM and had been in there for 90,000 miles. They were visibly worn out. The car had been rough idling, and it turned out this was the reason. After replacement, the rough idling stopped.Changing the spark plugs is an easy thing to do with the right tools (a spark plug socket and wrench extender). This was my first time doing it, and it was relatively easy. There are plenty of video guides on youtube on how to do this. I'm confident these iridium spark plugs will last me another 100k miles. If not, I'll be sure to update my review. The fact that the gap is preset on these is also very convenient. If you don't know anything about setting gaps on spark plugs, you never need to with these :)

Bosh has been in business for a long time and their products exude excellence and attention to detail. The Platinum plus spark plug is one of the best buys for the money, and you should notice a improvement in performance and fuel economy. Not all spark plugs are the same, and this is one of the best. I have worked as a professional mechanic and on cars for 60 years, so I have a little knowledge of what works and what does not.

These plugs work well and are much less expensive than the OEM Volvo plugs. They last about 10-15K miles before needing to be sharpened up and regapped. These are a good alternative to the OEM plugs.

These seem to be great plugs.I am changing them outjust because it seems 60K is enough. All I have laying around are some ND 3168 platinums so I will install those. NOTE that the design of these plugs is such that you could never tell if they are "worn out" in the traditional sense. The center electrode is but a tiny wire set in porcelain and the twin side electrodes are non-adjustable and do not seem to erode at all. I will carry these well used Bosch plugs as back-up when I travel in Baja and would have no qualms about placing them back in the engine if needed. Two thumbs up from me!

Bought a used 1988 Bronco that idled very rough hot and cold. Replaced the belt and plugs and wires. Huge difference in power output and response. No gap issues with these plugs and the cost via AutoPartsWAY combined with no-cost shipping (Prime) was well worth it.

Wish I had paid more attention when I had these installed for my old old ones in my older 1990 audi, but I forgot to really pay attention and now who knows how well they really work. well, they haven't failed yet and I'm sure I am getting way better spark than a ordinary single pronged plug.

Iridium is the way to go - read the many reviews on the spark voltage and lifespan of these puppies. As for the name brand it has hard to tell which one is best. Watch for rebates. NGK seems to offer different grades of Iridium plugs

Bosch finally came into the 21st century by adding Iridium plugs to their lineup. This is a great plug in that it combines iridium in the center electrode with platinum on the ground electrode which should make this plug last for up to 100K miles. Some plugs do not give you the platinum on the ground tip which then wears at a faster rate than the center electrode. Nice $2 rebate on top of that.

The garage wanted $160 to replace the spark plugs. If you are capable of making a bowl of cereal, you are capable of doing this job yourself. On a 2000 Honda Accord four cylinder the plugs are right on top of the block and are nicely sealed off by the spark plug boot. Pop off the boot and unscrew the plug. I used anti-seize compound on the threads of these new Bosch plugs, even though I'd read elsewhere that the threads won't corrode. Tighten with a torque wrench to 13 foot pounds, put a dollop of dielectric grease in the boot, and you're done. These plugs are sold as pre-gapped and I checked every one and they were perfect right out of the box. Really, if you can make a bowl of cereal you can do this job yourself. Great plugs at a good price. Bosch makes quality stuff.

These plugs are great! I picked up almost one mile to the gallon right away and expect more. The fine wire scared me at first, but they are very well made and designed for hard and long use.I would recommend them to anyone over the stock plugs for longevity and performance

This is a super price for these plugs. These are for my 1978 Super beetle project that I have been working on for over a year now. I have found the most obscurer items right here on AutoPartsWAY for this car and of course ordering them for much less than the local auto parts.

Time will tell if they are as good as the Volvo plugs that I took out (100,000 miles old).Use anti-seize on the threads or they get pretty hard to take out after 100K miles.

Best price I could find, even better with the offered mail-in rebate; only problem I had was this plug was 1/4" longer than what I currently had, and I returned them fearing they could damage a piston?? Yes, they were pre-gapped and yes, platinum +4 but a lot longer than OEM and I did NOT want to take a chance on engine damage; could have been confused with the Ford "Lightning" engine maybe??I searched everywhere, to include Bosch itself, and could not find an answer to my concern and again, had to return them??

These spark plugs work much better than I expected when I installed them in my car. I had not installed new plugs for several years and I immediately noticed a significant improvement in the performance of the engine. It also seems to run much quieter and I am experiencing much better fuel economy. The car did not even run this well when it was brand new.I could have bought a much less expensive spark plug but this is a situation where you buy the best and you will never be disappointed. These were a great value when I bought them on AutoPartsWAY.

I purchased these as an upgrade for my Expedition's tune up. They are great, high quality plugs that improved start-up, power, and gas mileage. The price was less than 1/2 of any prices I could find in the auto parts stores. The plugs are build solid and there's no concern that these will separate into two pieces like the old plugs did.

I installed these plugs on a 2011 ford focus. No plug is going to turn your car into a supercharged prius, but the difference was definitely noticeable. My car was a 2011, so everything already worked up to factory specs, but i still noticed faster starts, better acceleration, and lower rpms at cruising speeds. I also average about 2-3 mpg improvement. For how inexpensive these are, you can't go wrong. The gaps are factory preset, so i would recommend going to the bosch website to determine the exact number for your vehicle with their parts finder. Mine was 9657, yours may be different.

I bought these plugs for my 2003 v10 Ford Excursion. After 75k miles, I needed plugs and after reading several reviews did not want "fancy" plugs with a higher spark etc. With these essentially being OEM, they were perfect. Will I have to say one thing that my order game a lot faster than what they said. Which was great and I could put them in my truck. The Bosch 9604 spark plug were esay to in stall and will see how good they do in the next week or so. They sound like a good plug and they come pre sit so you don't have to sit them. If they do what they say they do, it should be a good plug.

Replaced the old style plugs in my Chevy P30 based motor home with these. Runs smooth as new and I like the fact that there is no gapping required on these plugs. Worry free installation.

Put these in my 98 K3500 4WD and so far so good. I will update this reivew after some time has passed. These are not gapped per the factory spec, I checked but you are not supposed to change them, I did not and the truck is runnig great.

I recently installed these plugs on a 2 valve 5.4 Ford Expedition that has 185k+ miles. These plugs replaced a set of inconsistent and problematic Champion truck plugs that I installed 8k miles ago. Upon inspection of the new Bosch plugs the quality seems to be fantastic. After installation these plugs made the engine smoother from idle to redline and erased the spark knock that was present with the Champion plugs. They installed without a problem and when I cranked the engine I could barely tell it was running from inside the cab! Power is definitely increased over the old plugs and the difference is certainly noticeable. Also, through 1000 miles of driving with these plugs, my hand calculated fuel mileage has risen almost 2mpg along my normal commute. This was my first set of Bosch plugs but will certainly not be my last. I'm getting ready to order a set for the wife's car. I highly recommend these plugs!

For years I had problems with my truck (2.8 liter V-6, 5 speed, with throttle body fuel injection)in regards to pinging when going uphill.I did everything my mechanically inclined co-workers/friends and/or automotive newsgroups recommended:-gas filter-air filter-tried gas from every different gas station in town-tried octane increase additives-tuneup-new plugs-new plug wires-new electronic module inside distributor-new distributor cap and rotor- bought an OBD-I tester and daily monitored settings and readings, over a month period.Everything except replace the several hundred dollar ECM electronic control module.About 2005/2006, I discovered the Bosch +2 plugs.I bought a set of 6 and installed them.Immediately my "pinging under load" issue decreased by at least 75% or more.July 2011 - these newer Bosch +4 Iridium plugs were on gold box sale for...

I bought 4 Bosch Platinum +2 Spark Plugs for my 02 Altima SL to replace the NGK I put in them last year. I notice a little extra power and immediate increase in MPG I was getting on 19 to 20 MPG and now I'm getting 23 to 24.7 around town!! I would get the 4 prong next time, I want to see if I can get a greater increase in power. So far not a bad choice.

One of the best if not the best Plug I ever installed. And I've been doing my own car maintenance for over 40 years. From when I first backed the car out of the garage I noticed a much improved throttle response. Now after nearly 1000 miles and checking mpg I can state that I have at least a 10% gain in gas mileage, thus after 3 tank fills I've paid for the plugs. Note, that I had 90,000 miles on the original 100,000-mile factory plugs, and they looked worn when I removed them. Now I know one does get appreciable gain in horsepower from plugs alone, but when your replacing old ones you will definitely get that WOW feeling when you mash that throttle down.

I purchased 8 of these babys. AutoPartsWAYs shipping was exellent as usual. I had them installed in my 1995 Ford Mustang GT which I purchased about 2 months ago. They are an exellent replacement plug and I love that they never need to be gapped!! I get better performance with these plugs than from the stock plugs they replaced. I have them in all my vehicles and when the time comes to replace them, i'll get more from AutoPartsWAY!!

Bosch platinum plugs (reg, +2, +4) have worked very well for me in newer cars, not so well in those older than about 1999. They like higher voltage ignition systems. They can misfire with lower voltage. Sometimes larger plug wires fix it, it depends on the overall design of the ignition system.Despite the hype on the web and anecdotal stories, virtually all spark plug manufacturers recommend against using anti-seize compound when installing plugs. They nickle-plate the threads to protect against seizing. The anti-seize compounds, even copper based, tend to increase the resistance to ground, and to upset the torque required to seat the plugs. The silver based compound will seriously increase resistance causing misfires and serious overheating of the plugs, and I have experienced the plug ceramic tips breaking off and falling into the cylinder. It sounds like a bad valve lifter and can damage the cylinder or valves. Copper based compound is less resistance, but still often...

3 1/2 year update.Still purring like a kitten. Took them out to look at them a few months back and they looked clean with almost no wear after 30k miles. I expect to easily get a few more years out of them at the rate they are going...which is good since I am a tightwad.ORIGINAL POST:The old plugs were shot...they were the originals and had about 70k on them. The truck had started to stumble and hesitate so I decided to put in new plugs and found the cheapest platinums on here. Read a bunch of stuff on the net and had to laugh at all the chauvinism about certain brands. Some people love Bosch, some people say that Bosch is the worst and some people even say that their vehicle doesn't "like" the plugs, whatever that means. Well these plugs totally smoothed out the engine and are working fine after about 6 months. Guess my Chevy "likes" Bosch. Something tells me that it would like any brand. I just put a little anti-seize on the threads and a...

I have long been a Bosch sparkplug fan, going back to my first Porsche (1968) followed not long after by my first BMW Bavaria (1972). I have tried other plugs, most notably NGK (my Lotus, Ferrari and my vintage Brabham Formula 2 race car). Long before that, I was a Champion addict (my two Alfa Romeos, a Triumph Spitfire, and several domestics). I can't say that NGK or Champion makes a bad plug. The NGKs were especially well suited to the Lotus' race engine and ditto for the Brabham. But then no one but Bosch had a platinum plug at back then, and I could not seem to find a good heat range (read: cold enough) match up between the Bosch platinums and the Lotus or Brabham race engines like I could with the NGK.Fast forward to the 21st century. Bosch now seems to have the right plug for almost every application. Platinums are now improved with the addition of irridium for higher heat tolerance. And then there are the plugs with multiple electrodes. At first, I thought this...

Plug is cheap and works great on my 95 M3. According to the notes, this is an OE plug. I was considering the Platinum 4's but figured it wasn't worth the higher price. This is probably the best bang for the buck plug you can buy.

Initial review was from 2009 -- This is an UPDATE -- as of 9/24/14 --The Bosch #4041 performed very well, giving great performance and fuel mileage, as well as low emissions readings at the testing station. All was right in the world, or so I thought, until an ignition mis-fire threw a monkey-wrench into a recent vacation trip. OBDII code scanner showed a #7 cylinder mis-fire, which turned out to be a really nasty-looking spark plug -- and a few others looking almost as bad. I was expecting nearly 100,000 miles from these plugs -- but only realized 40,000 miles before plug failure. Having had excellent results from Bosch plugs in the past, I was hugely disappointed in the short life of these plugs. Yes, these plugs FIT INTO the 4.6 litre FOMOCO engine -- but they are NOT the FORD-recommended "Double Platinum" type!! The low price of the 4041 plugs seemed too good to be true -- and it turned out that way !! Stuck in a small town (pop. 407), the...
