Confusing as to which part number to use on 2001 4Runner, however this kit worked perfectly and took the play out of the steering rack as it should. Order with confidence!

If you have been thinking about changing these and haven't, you are wrong! Just do it. It's easy and completely worth it. Your vehicle will thank you. Perfect fit for a 2002 Sequoia. Handling is dramatically better, rattle went away, and this is something that all vehicles will eventually need. Combine this with swaybar bushings and it will be like the day it left the factory, or nearly so anyway.

These were a perfect fit. Used a little hand soap on the rubber and they slid right into place. Then used a c-clamp to press the steel in. Kit worked great. I haven't noticed any difference in steering response.. but I know others that say it improved handling. It took me 2 hours to do this replacement. I was at my GF and didn't have all my tools. You will want a flex head ratchet and a 19mm ratchet box wrench helps a lot. When removing take out the top bolt first. The bottom nut is welded, so you have to take the bolt out from the top. Then the driver side bolt, followed by the passenger U bracket. Putting them back do the driver side bolt first, it is the hardest to line up. Then the top bolt, followed by the passenger U bracket. My stock bushings were completely worn after 211K miles... See pic.

Due to being on the road at the time, I ended up having a mechanic install it, so I can't say much there. I've got 10000 miles or so on the kit now I think, and the ride on the truck has been great since. Seems good to me :).

AutoPartsWAY INCORRECTLY states that this part: 8.10103G does not fit the 1997 4runner.After doing some internet searches and then looking at the Energy Suspension website, I found that this model does fit the 4runner.The G suffix is for Black, S would be for RedFrom: [...]4Runner 2 & 4WD1996-02 Front rack &?Pinion Bushing Set 8.10103PICKUP 4WD (EXCEPT T-100 & Tundra)2001-04 Front rack & Pinion Bushing Set 8.10103One suggestion before you install. After you remove the old bushings and bolts.Test your bolts with the new washer and metal sleeves. Some people have reported that the washer and or sleeves are not wide enough for the bolts. In my case, on the largest bolt that holds the largest bushing, my bolt was a bit corroded, so I cleaned it up with a wire brush on a grinder.I then tried inserting it into the supplied washer and it did not fit all the way, I cleaned it up some more and it...

these are great bushings compared to the flimsy stock oem bushings, this really tightens up the steering and completes rids the rack of sloppiness or memory steer

My stock rack bushings were worn out on my 2004 Dodge Ram, replaced with these and the did away with the rough impact absorbed in the rack. Definitely recommend these to any Dodge Ram owner with worn out rack bushings!

I ordered them from here since the Dodge dealer and Orielly's Auto parts couldn't guarantee the right part. I installed them in my 03 Dodge Ram with no problems. Parts got here fast and are easy to self install.

Installed these on a 2004 sequoia that had just had a rebuilt rack installed by Toyota. Customer was complaining that the truck was still all over the road. Turns out the 'new' rubber bushings that came with the rack were so soft, the rack was moving around on the subframe.Install didn't go as quickly as it should have, these things are a super tight fit. However, we got them in, now the truck drives better than new at 185k miles. Hope they hold up in the long run.
