The step pads of these running boards are also unique, featuring a two-part construction. They are comprised of a polyethylene tread base and a metal plate overlay. Made from 5-1/2 in. wide, eight-sided, extruded aluminum tubing, AdvantEDGE side bars are strong, lightweight and impervious to rust, offering a solid step that is built to face the elements and outlast them. They also come with die-cast aluminum end caps and a stamped aluminum tread. The aluminum treads provide a long-lasting, non-skid stepping surface that will not crack or fade in the sun. ARIES AdvantEDGE side bars are also marked for their easy, custom-fit installation. They feature the ARIES VersaTrac mounting system with brackets that are made from powder-coated steel and built for specific vehicles (NOTE: VersaTrac mounting brackets are sold separately; see application information to determine which brackets and side bars fit your vehicle). The high-strength steel brackets mount using pre-existing holes, and the side bars attach to the brackets with heavy-duty hardware and a full-length channel. The VersaTrac mounting system makes installation simple and customizable, allowing the side bars to be swapped out at any time with other side steps or running boards that feature the VersaTrac system. These 3 in. nerf bars are constructed from strong carbon steel for superior rigidity, and they feature a sleek semi-gloss black powder coat finish. For an added edge, each nerf bar also goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching. ARIES 3 in. round side bars are also available in polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder-coated steel. All ARIES 3 in. nerf bars come with heavy-duty steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They offer easy installation and the strength necessary to provide sound footing. These particular custom nerf bars fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 2500 HD Classic or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3 in. round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of tough polypropylene. These step pads feature a textured pattern for enhanced safety, and they cover a wide portion of the tubes for a more comfortable step.
