- It is recommended that the Cooling Hose Retainers be replaced when replacing the Radiator, if vehicle is equipped with an Automatic Transmission, order 4-pcs. of 6842411 separately if needed and if vehicle is equipped with a Manual Transmission, order 2-pcs. of 6842411 separately if needed. Some manufacturing processes place small cuts on the sideplates to make the radiators more resistant to vibration.

- Depending on the brand of radiator being installed, some vehicles may require removal of the transmission cooler line adapters from the radiator and/or use of adapters that may be enclosed with certain radiator brands in order for the cooler lines on the vehicle to bolt up correctly to the replacement radiator.

- All of the Volvo radiators offered are designed to withstand system pressures much higher than the 150kPa that is the maximum specified by Volvo. However, defective pressure caps or hose blockages can cause the pressure to exceed the radiator's designed limit, leading to damage of the radiator or the engine. ALWAYS check the rest of the cooling system for problems before assuming the job is complete. We recommend the installation of a NEW pressure cap whenever a radiator is being replaced.
