B&M has you covered with our high performance SFI approved flexplate designed for 1955-1985 GM small block (internally balanced) V8 engines along with 4.3L V6 engines. Also fits 1965-up GM big block (internally balanced) V8 engines with two piece rear main seal. Features include high tensile strength steel construction to resist elongation and cracking, dual bolt pattern 10.75 or 11.5 inch converter mounting locations, 168 tooth ring gear with double-sided welds for added strength and comes with SFI 29.1 safety certification insuring the ultimate in safety and performance. The assembly is then Zinc plated and treated with a Chromate Conversion Coating for added corrosion resistance and durability. B&M SFI approved flexplates are ideal for extreme duty race applications as well as street cars, tow vehicles or other vehicles needing the added protection and toughness that B&M has been delivering since 1953.

To access Reverse or Forward gears you simply lift the handle and pull back and let the handle drop in gear. Theres no need to lift the handle again to shift gears until you either need to access Reverse or Park. From Drive, lift the handle straight up and this will bypass the reverse lockout safety feature, then move the shift handle forward into Reverse or Park. Its just that easy! Also, the reverse lockout feature meets NHRA and IHRA safety regulations and wont allow you to accidentally over shift into reverse while making a pass at the strip. To use the ratcheting function at the strip, shift into low gear, launch the vehicle and hit the shifter forward when its time to shift. You cannot over-shift and miss a gear. The chrome bezel, shift stick, and knob are all accented by the black console, flat boot, and deep blue medallion, giving your vehicles interior that classic muscle car style while providing fast and smooth ratchet shifting.
