The BD up-pipes are a durable, longer-life replacement for this common problem and are perfect as an upgrade while performing other engine or transmission repairs.

To prevent boost creep, BD's exclusive Heavy Duty Waste Gate controls maximum boost pressure while the 0.84 A/R turbine housing reduces exhaust temperatures and smoke levels on acceleration without surging. This unit outperforms the stock turbocharger, improves fuel economy, and is a great fit for all off-road, street, and highway 7.3L Power Stroke applications. Plus, it is C.A.R.B. compliant!

- Make the Most of Your Power Stroke's exhaust backpressure valve! BD's BrakeLoc connects to the EBPV control wire, turning the factory valve into an electronically-controlled exhaust brake. Note that, because the EBPV is activated hydraulically, there is typically a 2-3 second delay between the time the valve is actuated and engine retarding occurs. While the BrakeLoc is an economical alternative to an exhaust brake, it is NOT intended as a substitute. For quicker, more effective braking, we recommend a BD exhaust brake system, which utilizes our Variable Orifice Technology, and won't stick like the stock EPB valve can.
