- Our American Thunder exhaust system for 1986-1993 Ford Mustang LX (Fox body) with the 5.0L engine is a bolt-on emissions legal system. Features free-flowing 2.50-inch mandrel-bent stainless steel inlet pipes flowing into a pair of Super 44 Series mufflers for that deep iconic sound of the 5.0L engine. The 2.50-inch mandrel-bent stainless steel tailpipes use the factory hanger locations for a quick and easy installation and the system is finished off with a pair of long 2.50-inch 304 stainless steel tips for that show car look. Includes all necessary parts, hardware and easy to follow instructions and is covered by our Lifetime Limited Warranty. Note: Fits coupes and convertibles. Our Force II systems delivers a moderate exterior tone and mild to moderate interior tone, and are suited to customers looking for efficiency improvements without a lot of noise. This system is constructed from large 3.00-inch mandrel-bent aluminized steel tubing flowing into a 70 Series Big Block II muffler for a deep mellow tone. The 3.00-inch tailpipe uses the factory hangers for a quick and easy installation and is finished off with a turn down style tip cut into the tubing. This exit location is especially recommended for towing applications since it will not be blowing exhaust on your boat or trailer. Like all Flowmaster systems, the benefits include improved throttle response, power and mileage.
