- The 42mm 2-Row aluminum core not only increases the fluid capacity of the radiator, but also improves the cores ability to dissipate heat. CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology improves heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance. Efficiency is key in off-roading as speeds tend to be lower overall so you end up relying on the fans to move most of the air over the radiator. While the factory fans do a decent job pulling air through the radiator core, it is still less airflow than you'd typically see in city driving. A larger and more efficient core will keep your engine temps in check and keep your engine running strong. Also, a larger core also helps when your radiator is covered in dust, dirt, or mud. While a radiator isn't functioning at peak efficiency in there situations, the more overall cooling capacity you have the better. In Addition, the end tanks are made from high grade aluminum and TIG welded to the core for extra strength. In contrast, the OEM crimped onto plastic end tank design is much weaker and creates a weak point where failure is more likely. Because the CSF radiator is designed as a true plug-and-play drop-in fit application, installation requires absolutely no modifications, trimming, or cutting.

Additionally, the radiator features a built-in transmission oil cooler. The transmission cooler is a heavy-duty high-performance 5 plate design that connects to the OEM hoses. The upgraded built in cooler is great dealing with the added heat and stress from towing, low gear crawling, and vehicles equipped with oversized tires. While many understand the impacts of oversized tires, it is always good to provide extra incite. By increasing the diameter of your tires, you are reducing the effective gear ratio. This means the engine and transmission have to work harder to move the tires. Obviously this will end up generating excess heat, but the CSF radiator is designed to handle it.

Designed to perform on and off road, a heavy-duty performance radiator is a must-have for off-roaders, overlanders, and adventurers. This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF's exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval shape "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes - producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. With "B-tubes" you are able to get "dual liquid laminar flow". CSF also uses ultra efficient multi louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are carefully measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in our wind-tunnel lab.The CSF 2nd/3rd Gen Tacoma radiator is a true "Drop-in fit" design requiring no modifications to install. This location also helps protect the intercooler from obstacles on the trail. Our intercooler utilizes a 3.1 inch-thick bar-and-plate core that’s precision TIG welded to cast aluminum end tanks for superior durability and heat soak resistance. The weak plastic stock piping is replaced with high-flowing, durable cast and mandrel-bent aluminum piping and silicone boots with DuraCore technology. The larger volume of our pipes allows your 2.7L EcoBoost to breathe freely and make the most of its turbos, while the all-aluminum construction and DuraCore boots provide unmatched durability.----Durability is always a good thing, but it’s even better when it’s paired with performance. The high-mount intercooler boasts a 49-percent greater core volume and 93-percent greater external fin surface area than stock, which results in 21-degree cooler outlet temps over the stock intercooler.
