A new Melling high performance pick-up tube/oil screen assembly provides the lubrication oil as well as protection for your oil pump from materials that find their way into the engine oil supply system. Contaminates enter your oil system via engine wear, extended time between oil changes and other internal engine sources. These contaminates can interfere with the proper oil flow and pressure spring functions resulting in engine damage and/or failure. Melling suggests that a new properly installed high performance oil pump pick-up tube/screen be a part of every oil pump installation when a higher quality oil pump screen is required. Melling high performance oil pump pick-up tubes/screens are manufactured with stronger welds and in some cases designed with additional reinforced mountings, include mounting bolts and are supplied with protective coatings.

Includes lower pressure spring and self locking socket head bolts with wrench for use with bolt on screen pumps. Every Melling high performance oil pump is individually tested for pressure and flow under actual engine operating conditions.
