- The B&M StarShifter is our 3-speed shifter with a split personality of performance, function, and that classic muscle car styling. The first personality is as a straight-line detent shifter, meaning you can move between gears without a positive stop, like an OEM shifter. The racing personality comes into play when you want a ratcheting function, you just put the shifter down into low gear, pull the trigger up while pulling the shift handle down and it drops into ratchet mode. In this mode, the ratchet function will shift one gear at a time so you cant over-shift and miss a gear at that critical moment. Another cool feature is the reverse lockout which meets NHRA/IHRA safety rules for those weekend grudge races at the track. The look and feel of the T-handle and accordion-style shift boot really shows off the racing heritage of the StarShifter and looks a lot like its big brother, the MegaShifter. Other features include a black console that you can trim to fit your vehicles floor contour for a perfect fit, a 5-foot shift cable, cable brackets, transmission shift levers, chrome-plated top plate, and everything needed for an easy at home installation. Be sure to check out our optional T-handle with a 12-volt button for actuating a trans-brake, nitrous oxide, or other accessories for the hard-core performance enthusiast. - B&M Holeshot 2400 for 1967-81 Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth Torqueflite A727 automatic transmissions (Non-lock-up) with 24 spline input and a 10-inch bolt circle. The Holeshot 2400 converter is good for vehicles with some performance engine modifications, particularly big cams that tend to reduce low-end power and torque. The higher stall speed of this converter will launch the car in a higher rpm range where more torque is readily available, resulting in quicker acceleration. Holeshot converters feature furnace brazed impeller fins and turbine, new precision alloy impeller hub and new heavy duty needle bearings. Other features include fully balanced and pressure tested by expert technicians. If your vehicle is equipped with a plate type nitrous system or supercharger, please refer to the Nitrous Holeshot line of converters. Notes: Stall speed listings are based on engines producing 230lb ft of torque at 2,500 rpm. More torque at 2,500 rpm will give you more stall speed, less torque at 2,500 rpm will give you less stall speed than the stall speed ratings indicated. Higher stall converters can generate more heat, so we highly recommend adding a transmission cooler. This converter is Not recommended for supercharged, plate-type nitrous oxide or trans-brake applications. - The flywheel accepts one half of the load of the clutch system. To realize the potential of the clutch system, the flywheel must be flat, parallel to the crankshaft flange, properly surface ground for maximum friction compatibility with the clutch disc, and balanced. Dyno testing proves that flywheel balance is critical to achieving maximum engine service. Every RAM flywheel is dynamically balanced to within ? ounce/inch of the factory specification. RAM aluminum flywheels have a .250 inch thick steel friction insert to handle the heat generated under extreme conditions, while allowing resurfacing without the need to replace the insert. All RAM flywheels are manufactured from SFI certified materials in our South Carolina facility.
