- Body Armor 4X4's new Roof Rack Base Kits are made from 2 in. .120 wall steel tube and feature a durable textured black powder coat finish. The simple bolt together design uses grade 8 hardware with front and rear light bars as standard features. This base is specifically designed to accept the Body Armor Cargo Basket, and engineered to hold up to the rigors of the trail. With this new rack you can retain the ability to retract your soft top, even with the base rack installed (requires removal of cargo basket though). You can also easily remove your hard top with the base rack and cargo basket installed as well.
