  • Skunk2 has done it again. While others are busy imitating our LCA's, Skunk2 engineers have spent years of extensive R & D to revolutionize a product that was once thought to be dialed in. Skunk2 is proud to announce the release of its Alpha Series Lower Control Arms for the '88-'95 Civic/ CRX and '90-'01 Integra. The Alpha Series LCA's are based off of the same technology the company's been using in its own race cars for 20 years and are a must-have for enthusiast looking to fine-tune their suspension for maximum handling performance while keeping budget in mind. Skunk2's Rear Lower Control Arms are direct replacements, maintain OEM suspension geometry, and are ideal for street and race applications. When deciding on a material to base our new design on, we chose very carefully, as there are many inferior annealed and cheap versions of aluminum available on the market today. We chose 6061-T6 because of its excellent strength to weight ratio. With an ultimate tensile strength of over 42,000 PSI, and fatigue strength of 14,000 psi for 500 million cycles – we knew this would be perfect for the Alpha Series Lower Control Arms. The result of our re-engineered lower control arm is a 6061-T6 Forged Aluminum LCA, that is 15% lighter and 7% stronger than our previous generation of LCA's. Accurate suspension geometry is maintained under the most aggressive driving conditions using high load steel spherical bearings on the trailing arm side and tuned durometer elastomeric bushings for the sub frame side of the LCA. Delrin bushings are utilized at the shock mounting position for their low friction and minimal deflection for unparalleled dynamic shock control. Using this specific combination of bushings allows the most comfort and control under any driving conditions.   • Skunk2 Alpha Series valves are manufactured from HNV3 martensitic steel (IN) and EV8 austenitic steel (EX) one-piece forgings, each valve is heat-treated using a proprietary process for extraordinary strength and durability. Alpha Series Valves feature hard chrome plating and fully machined valve heads. Other valves may appear similar, but only Alpha Series Valves feature specially designed valve head profiles to optimize airflow. Skunk2 designs, develops, and tests its entire valvetrain lineup in-house to ensure superior quality and maximum performance gains. During development, each valvetrain component is tested both on the dyno and the road. Manufactured from the best materials available in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment ensure that Skunk2 valvetrain components provide exceptional performance, reliability, and quality. These components remain standard-issue on each Skunk2 vehicle that we build and support.

  • Skunk2's cutting-edge Composite Fuel Rail for Honda's B-series engines is here. Skunk2's Composite Fuel Rails are made using a proprietary carbon-impregnated, aerospace thermo-polymer composite—a material that's 33-percent lighter, 60-percent stronger, and operates up to 100-degrees F cooler when compared to aluminum and insulates fuel from both radiant and conductive heat transfer underneath the hood, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. Composite Fuel Rails also feature large 0.625- in. internal bores for superior fuel injector pulsation dampening, are machined with a smooth interior finish, and feature radius-cut fuel injector outlets for improved flow characteristics. The special design that eliminates the sharp internal angles where the main bore meets the fuel injector bores inherent with conventional extruded- and drilled-aluminum designs can only be achieved with such composite materials. Skunk2's B-series Composite Fuel Rails are compatible with the factory fuel system, as well as all fuels, including alcohol, and can support up to 1,200 hp, with gains as high as three percent realized during testing.
