The high-strength steel brackets mount using pre-existing holes, and the aluminum running boards attach to the brackets with heavy-duty hardware. ActionTrac motorized running boards have one 4 in. wide step on top of the main housing and one 3 in. wide that automatically deploys as needed. When the door opens, the control module deploys the power step 8 in. below the main step, 15 in. below the doorsill, depending on the model. This two-step design offers enhanced safety and easier vehicle entry and exit, especially on large, lifted vehicles. Its also very helpful for families with young children and for elderly passengers. The boards contour to the vehicle and offer extra protection for the rocker panels from small road debris. For additional safety, the module is able to detect any obstructions during operation to avoid p in. hazards. LED lights are also built into the housing to illuminate the steps when deployed. ARIES ActionTrac automatic running boards are made for vehicle-specific installation for a custom fit. They use pre-existing factory holes for the brackets to eliminate drilling. They also do not require any splicing into original factory wiring. - ARIES AdvantEDGE side bars do away with the common, rounded look of other side bars and nerf bars, featuring an angular, eight-sided tube profile and powder-coated all-aluminum construction. The angular edges provide a clear-cut, uncompromising accent for the look of todays trucks. Made from 5-1/2 in. wide, eight-sided, extruded aluminum tubing, AdvantEDGE side bars are strong, lightweight and impervious to rust, offering a solid step that is built to face the elements and outlast them. They also come with die-cast aluminum end caps and a stamped aluminum tread. The aluminum treads provide a long-lasting, non-skid stepping surface that will not crack or fade in the sun. ARIES AdvantEDGE side bars are also marked for their easy, custom-fit installation. They feature the ARIES VersaTrac mounting system with brackets that are made from powder-coated steel and built for specific vehicles (NOTE: VersaTrac mounting brackets are sold separately; see application information to determine which brackets and side bars fit your vehicle). The high-strength steel brackets mount using pre-existing holes, and the side bars attach to the brackets with heavy-duty hardware and a full-length channel. The VersaTrac mounting system makes installation simple and customizable, allowing the side bars to be swapped out at any time with other side steps or running boards that feature the VersaTrac system.
